That was one of the Gammas who fought on Onyx
he probably wouldve lived he was wearing mjolnir
mans was in a firefight wearing SPI
Hey does any one think that the halo array will fire in future games many they might use it to stop the guardians
no the array only kills organic life
Guardians are basically roobts
Yea
the array only kills organic life, that would be counterproductive
True
That would be the equivalent of a self suicide lol
Sounds like my vacation is planed
hah
I am the light bulb
yes we get it.... were's an off switch when you need one @versed helm
not this again
Ohhhhh
oh
That make sencw
Goodbye
Spartan-IIIs are supposed to be about on par with -IIs.
Better, even.
Having an actual Spartan-II train them was useful.
Augmentations were cheaper, less risky, less restrictive.
All in all Spartan-III would have been the perfect program if it weren't for the ethical issues tied to it.
true
very true
but I don't think 117 would trade his life for a normal one any day.
It's hard to tell with him.
lol
still it's hard to tell
John and Cortana sitting in a cryptom
K-I-S-S-I-N-G
= Crazy
IIIs were not kidnapped like the IIs were
I think "Come into my car, little kid, I've got what you want inside!" is still pretty kidnap-y.
Hm, I thought they weren’t kidnapped
They definitely were. They were extremely small children of around 4 to 6 years old when they were taken.
yup
I hated the fact that they changed
in halo five she was so cool before that
ditto
Many, if not all, the S-IIIs were orphans
Yea
Are you okay?
Have any of you asked Google if she is friend with
hah hah
he's right though
it's kind of lore related
ok fine it's not i'll stop
you too lightbulb
Ok
here's something why do monitors have one eye not two?
Because we only need one
I mean they'd have 0 depth perception.
And that would be ceeeepy
hey they wouldn't look light a lightbulb anymore.
Yes but then sargent Johnson line would be fake
Yes we get it
oh and shoot lasers at people who offer to help WITH A DOOR!
Oh yes hahahahahahahaaha
well I assumed he upgraded it
Level up
Yea
1
So about the arbiter, is his armor actually older or is it just purposefully weaker?```
Probably just purposefully full of the more outdated hand-me-down tech while other armor gets the latest and greatest stuff.
Grunt go smochy
🤣
😋
Little people first
Ha
Run away
1
ok that's enough lightbulb
Ok
Probably because they know the score when somebody is made an Arbiter these days
gold PLATING
Hey any of you guys got the halo book
Yes. What about 'em?
well they never said yes or no.
Do you have em
so let's agree to disagree
A gamers objective in life when born be lonely and don't have friend's so you can play vidio games 1 year later gets a wife and kids mission failed well get them next time
what?
Read
oh what?
You okay, dude?
just call him lightbulb and he'll be quiet
I imagine Arby's armor was originally supposed to be a hand-me-down but HW negated it.
The fact that the Mausoleum on High Charity was supposed to house 'every Arbiter from first to last' would support that.
true
What I've heard most often is that he became lazy, ignoring his duties, until the Flood eventually amassed a Gravemind and captured him.
Rampancy might've been implied, Spark's condition gradually deteriorated over the course of the CEA Terminals, especially after losing contact with the other Monitors. Something similar likely happened to Tangent.
And it eventually fell to Automated Sentinels to set up the Quarantine Zone.
- his bulb is red
His 'bulb' has been red since the Monitors were assigned to their Installations so I don't think that has any bearing on anything
https://youtu.be/7-pRsbnvgkc?t=30
There was something wrong with Tangent quite early on in the Monitor's life cycles, as implied by Guilty Spark.
Quick question, when in Halo 2 the Gravemind says "I?... I am a monument of all your sins" , i don't understand the phrase, is he referencing to Organic life in itself? how Forerunner Hubris (basically killin' all Precursors) brought out their own demise?
Or how the Covenant-Human War was the reason the Flood were released? (and bodies were used to create it)
I imagine the former.
Humanity was responsible for releasing the Flood and giving it a vector through which to spread.
That could be the reference, though why the Gravemind would consider something beneficial to itself as a sin, I’m not sure.
maybe he don't seems as a sin to him, but rather how humanity sees the flood?
Possible, I s’pose. It sounds cool though, which is what Bungie was interested in.
The phrase was thought up of before the story of Halo 2 was even started. Jason Jones just thought it sounded cool.
Likely before the Gravemind even existed
ohh!
i see,
though i think it always can be retconned to make sense
^ that would make sense!
what tier is humanity currently in?
3
neat
3 before the covenant
2 rn
covenant brings whatever races they assimilate to tier 2
Yes
As long as they can keep/upkeep/manufacture the tech given to them, sure
wait... we are in Tier 4 now, no? Space Age?
He's talking about real-life
oh, sorry
i kinda feel like we are inbetween tier 4 and 5
Yeah.
yeah, i would say we are in Tier 4 and will be in it for quite some time
Not really space-faring enough for it to be a true Tier 4, I feel
^
on the cusp of tier 4
till we can design ships energy efficient enough to go long distances
@versed helm If only it count's 🙁
other than fall of reach, what are some good halo books to read
Broken Circle, Shadow of Intent, Last Light, Silent Storm, and Oblivion. And the Evolution short stories.
I'll check those out then
First Strike and Ghosts of Onyx if you've only read Reach so far IMO
I would also recommend Envoy for a realistic look at post-war inter species relations, and Legacy of Onyx for an idealized version.
Halo: Fractures has some fantastic stories as well.
Though what's realistic and what progresses the universe can be two different things.
True. Ideally they are the same.
At least one reason why I would've liked there to be a greater wait in-universe between the end of Halo 3, and the start of the post-war stories.
Although I like Legacy of Onyx, actually. For all its cringe and weird Johnson inclusion, it has very good characters... Even if the main characters aren’t well-written.
With the exception of Asum ‘Mdama.
As in, you don't like him, or do?
Ah, that sentence is a little confusing, hang on
Ah, okey.
Tom and Lucy are pretty good. Mendez is... Mendez.
Asum's a precious l'il cinnamon roll.
And Dural is an edgelord that needs to get blunted.
My favorite part is probably where we see Sangheili and human scientists collaborating.
Ye
It makes me happy whenever there are Sangheili that aren't the stereotypical warrior.
We don’t really know of any Sangheili science officers because the Huragok mainly filled that role for them.
But now they have to do the science.
Nah, Halo 5 lore actually filled us in that there were actually quite a few during the time of the Covenant.
Really? I must have missed that. They aren’t well-represented, then.
Like the two brothers that would frequently get on the High Prophet's nerves by making a buttload of customized weapons all the time.
Oh, that’s cool.
They're now part of the SoS
I liked that Tom didn’t die, and my first time reading it, I actually thought Matt Forbeck might have gotten the OK to kill him off like that. Considering Rookie, and all.
But it also kinda spits on Emile’s death
Hello fellow comrades
Probably a word that has to do with a certain space movie coming out in a month.
i see what you're speaking about, but i used not that haha
i'll try again
A bit of a too strict word filter policy regarding it.
And any profanity would get it filtered as well.
deleted again XD
Pass what you're trying to say to me, and I'll see if I can find what's setting it off. If you wish.
ok
i want to learn Halo's lore. I've played halo 1, 2, 3, reach and rts halo 1, so i already know some of it
there is any good website or wiki to learn more? ( in french or english )
h**l no
I think he meant in theory.
You seriously censored "Hell"?
🤷♂️
Christian Channel bruh
Not really but y'know
Think of it like a problem solving challenge
It'll expand your vocabulary
No learning is allowed in this channel
HECK
@feral perch Can you elaborate as to how Tom surviving spits on Emile's death?
I’m also curious what’s being referred to
Could Noble Team beat Blue Team in a firefight
anyone could if you gave them prep time
blue team was captured once and saved by a macguffin stomach
Thoughts on flood coming back in infinite? After all it’s zeta
Hope they’re legitimately scary this time around
Tom was okay for a few hours by himself after being stabbed, but Emile straight up died.
Advancements in armour
I do hope the Flood come back, i think it would be fittin' to end yet another trilogy~
Id like to see prometheans and flood fight
@rancid delta Wanna know something funny?
Noble 6's body was completely obliterated by said protection
His armour
It's just the aesthetic they went with for the the first person view. Nothing more
@robust kelp it auto-deletes other wise
@versed helm Because blue team has 4 S-II's noble has 1 (unless you count 6).
No, Noble 6 still counts as a 3, since Halsey doesn't know him that well.
Blue team has been beaten before. IIRC Kurt never lost to John during training and he trained the III’s.
Yeah, Six was never an S-II given that he was too young and explicitly stated he's from Beta Company
But IMO a III would have the best chance in SPI, not MJOLNIR.
If we were being totally realistic and authentic to how both teams would fight.
Instead of the typical “action hero” stuff
They aren’t inherently better. The only thing they’ve got is experience.
It would come down to the individual skill at the end of the day, regardless of their class
I’d argue it would come down to a multitude of factors.
Fair point, other factors such as environment, third parto, weather and stuff like that could affect it
How hungry they are, who has a Charlie horse, whether someone’s foot fell asleep; all of these things are potential factors
also if they ate chipotle yesterday
If Mr X can fit through a door, so can Jorge
To be fair, Mr X was more in the business of making new doors where there weren't any before
I know, I just think we shouldn't forget his wall smashing exploits
Well yeah... she kinda acknowledges the sacrifices Noble team made when they reunite in The Package
The mission, not the legends movie thing
But she probably took it as she’s taken all the other spartan deaths
Kinda just absorbed it
Like for a good chunk of Spartan Ops she was convinced John was dead
So y'know
She's not one to display her inner side typically
Ok dokey
You gotta pull a BB and watch her cry
Think we will ever get a novella explaining how a covenant fleet ended up at the center of the galaxy near the black hole?
Likely, though curious why the covenant never bothered creating a vessel that could have retrieved the beacon. If they are so important, one would think they would try everything to get it
Basically everyone here does yeah. I’d argue this is the most well versed bunch of lore nerds on the internet.
I wouldn't say that. I know a few that don't have this place as a "spot".
LIGHTBULLLLLLB!!!!!!!
I'm still annoyed by the... "creative process" that went into Black Team's fate.
"I wanna show the Didact is super powerful and formidable, should I kill some SIVs?"
"Well, we ain't using Black Team, you can kill them off if ya want."
"Kay."
@versed helm yeah
grey teams better... they blew up a PLANET!
Too soon.
black team didn't kill a GIANT CYCLOPS
I don't think he's talking about the UNSC Cyclops.
Read Halo:Envoy then well talk
Grey had to deal with Sharquoi.
Beasts even the Covenant had trouble controlling
?
i'm lost
I hope we get more info on the Sharquoi and the, er... vertex at some point in the future.
same
Would be nice
Wasnt that something the monitor caused?
doppelganger?
Digiclone
digital style--digital dancing--hey this is fun!
Digiclone, digital monsters
nice poem not helping
Digiclones are what Zane Flynt uses in Borderlands 3
It is a copy in a way.
thank you!
It's never said they were really copied
I still find it funny that the foreigners had no clue how to use that to its full extent. Yet somehow still managed to create the composer
I think they mean “Lt. Cmndr”
Do you guys think Halo Infinite will be set on installation 09?
@tepid lynx mean either
@Donk2339#259 what?
sigh WE GET IT!
wait... were did you read about black team?
@versed helm @tepid lynx halopedia
@rancid delta thanks Einstein
just curios
might read it someday
.... if i remember
They got killed along with thè scientists
yeah but cyclops giant ones
The didact aaid their presence was unacceptable
and blew up a planet
Oops
agree to disagree
@tepid lynx I wasn't in the first place
Successfully warned @tepid lynx
Reason: bypassing word filter
can you elaborate about it
@versed helm they used the one before gen 2 I'm pretty sure
prototype says it all
Anyone here pick up Halo Oblivion
@tiny quarry no I have the spartan field manual thoug
Idk you tell me
MJOLNIR: Black is not a variant of Mark V. It is its own thing.
dude all i know is english and kilngon
@rancid delta I’ve heard about that book, how is it
and a bit of german
@tiny quarry really good, but a few inaccurate points
Like they said that 75 volunteers made up the spartan 2
THEY AREN'T FREAKING VOLUNTEERS
Lol that was the Spartan 1 program
Did they seriously say Spartan 2’s were volunteers 😂
@tiny quarryyeah I'll show you
same
Spartan field manual is supposed to be an in-universe guide so it’s possible things are written in a way that UNSC and ONI would deem acceptable for consumption
yeah
Anyone have a copy of Bad Blood they can consult?
You mean the Field Manual?
No I mean Bad Blood
I've got it. What do you need?
Does the phrase “Jorge is indeed alive” appear on the last page?
??
Context in #483759756566069258
I thought as much
The word "Jorge" appears nowhere in the book, yeah
I guess so... I never really thought about it.
Pretty much.
His body probably would have been obliterated by the... very turbulent forces of slipspace.
...why the part on his body? It's in a multi mile long section of metal
@terse lava wort wort wort
If anyone survived it would be the covenant on the carrier chunk. As to the question, I guess? Then again there are likely chinks if forerunner fortresses and halos there too
@hushed grailwort
See this video by Halo Canon on the topic of Jorge's survival odds: https://youtu.be/iy3BW9M8fZE?t=139 (spoiler alert, they're 0%.)
🦗
Stop
bouta say, i have bad blood, and jorge isn’t even mentioned
Ok
nor noble team really, jun is the only one mentioned
people who don’t keep up with lore probably assume he’s dead
Ye
or didn’t watch cutscenes
You might've seen this but yeah
Jorge Heavy Weapons expert: dies in explosion
Brains Kat: shot in the head
Emile Melee Expert: stabbed to death
Jun Sniper: Disappears
Leader Carter: Goes down with the ship
Noble Six Lone Wolf: Dies Alone
not really melee expert, more close quarters, or demo
guys why is there something intact on the back of lord hoods head
Neural Implant
what is it for
Remember Halo CE and how Chief need them?
Oh I meant needed Keyes'
Cause self destruct on ship
@versed helm For any high ranking UNSC personal, neural chips are a requirement yes.
If your just a normal Marine or a Sergeant, then you aren't required to have them. Therefore, you can't get them at all
Something I'd be interested in is a person who has a hacked neural chip and is capable of hacking into certain UNSC/ONI devices without being detected to be honest.
Okay so I know that in ODST we see that each of the ODSTs kinda have there own stripe going on? What does the stripe stand for? Like I assume its there mos but is it possible that it's there rank?
What stripe?
Their colours?
Oh ok nvm
Buck didn't have any stripes but is their team leader so I assume its not their rank.
Thats like regular stripes that every ODST has.
Buck also looks like every other ODST when he has his helmet on
Not exactly. His helmet has a command module lookin’ thing
Some form of specialized B-net uplink module I believe.
I suppose the UNSC would want to use specialized uplink modules for the B-net to reduce the risk of it being compromised.
Well, all UNSC personnel have implants where the Neural link goes, the difference is what’s part of that implant.
Regular troops only have an IFF.
I believe the basic neural chips probably have some additional functions of some kind.
It's hard for me to swallow that they really are just transponders
I’d agree. But as of now we only know they’re IFF tags.
Maaaan
I've been rewatching some Spartan Ops cutscenes
I really hope they don't just decide to ditch Lasky as a character
He's a good dude
Though I don't really get his reason for excluding anything about John from Halsey, even that he was alive. Not even the information he had gathered was given to Halsey. And apparently he held other data from her as well.
Likely because that halsey’s prisoner status meant she had no clearance for any such info, and Laskey doesn’t consider Halsey a mother figure to Chief the way the audience does
It seems weird, since his experiences would be relevant to the issues she's trying to help the Infinity with.
At least letting her know he was alive would have been nice but Chimera's likely right that she lacked even that
Wasn't Halsey brought aboard the Infinity basically to just, see what was going on with the ship?
They didn't know there was a connection between the durance and the Prometheans
Not until Thorne noticed
She was brought on to stop the Artefact that Fireteam Crimson brought on board at the end of episode one from doing the weird stuff it was doing
Right
So she was primarily brought aboard on account of her expertise with the Infinity
And not for, y'know. The Librarian and Prometheans.
Which she wanted to look into.
So she was primarily brought aboard on account of her expertise with the Infinity
And to research that Forerunner artifact.
In its capacity as something that was messing with Infinity
I mean, let's not forget that Halsey is nothing if not dangerous and unpredictable
She proves it on a constant basis
Still, weird to specifically exclude the John stuff. Like, sure, Lasky might not care about the connection, or know, but then why do that, then?
Could be an ONI directive.
I could see Osman being that petty.
It's strategic pettiness.
Halsey did seem to get a spark of defiance in her after the discovery.
Though it might've just been a rubberband effect.
Militaries seem to operate on a “need to know” basis. At that time, Halsey didn’t need to know about John
lol
Not just that but when she met the Gammas that stayed on Onyx, she was intent on keeping them as well
Gotta Catch 'Em All™️
Halsey, bad, they're people, not Pokemon
She wanted to be a Spartan Master, a noble goal, really.
How much of a meme would it be
If Halsey just like
Abducted Blue Team and Osiris
Leaving only Chief behind
lmao
I know a bunch of people would be mad
Also, Halsey's abducty tendencies seemed to have passed onto Cortana in some form, given that the version of Cortana from Halo 5 did try to abduct Blue Team
"You are my children now. Do not resist."
abducty tendencies
Yikes
That is actually a thing though
Like Halsey and Cortana are just like
Super shady abductors
She passed it on
I never noticed
Hey
Though Halsey did always feel awful about what she did and later wanted to make it up to them for stealing their original lives. I guess this Cortana fragment never got that character development.
I think she's more hands-off
Neo, ew. No. Never ask that again
lmao
oh my god
you never know
there's a fanfic about it somewhere out there
Gross.
There's fanfics about everything
please no
For Halsey
oh.
Like obviously Halsey, despite her abductiness, generally tries to do the right thing
But it throws off weird vibes
I wouldn't say she always tried to do the right thing, maybe for herself.
Well Spartan II was about preventing humanity from falling into a devastating civil conflict
I'd argue her true intentions for taking the Spartans to Onyx were not the right thing.
No.
I read a fanfic like that once
I'd argue her true intentions for taking the Spartans to Onyx were not the right thing.```
Though it seems like it was, in her mind, for *their* benefit. Not hers.
maybe
I think that was about doing what she could to do right by the lives she'd altered.
or maybe she kept a few back for her 😉
Successfully warned @unborn matrix
Reason: don’t post inappropriate things
OOOFT
I think that was about doing what she could to do right be the lives she'd altered.```
Yeah.
yeah, but she potentially doomed the species in the process
The species was already doomed.
The odds were not good that John was gonna pull his memes.
The fact that he did
Makes it seem like a certainity
But it was a long shot
Humanity lived because Truth overplayed his hand.
I said she tries to do the right thing
aye
Sure, yeah. I'm saying that in her point of view, she was trying to help people as best she felt she could.
More than 5 months
As of 2558, 66
lol
Because Palmer shot it with a .50 HE bullet
Palmer is a rude lady.
Anyway it seems to have been wounded in such a way as to require amputation.
That's why I love her
Palmer
Actually
Not Halsey
It didn’t require amputation
Jul just didn’t want to spend too much time fixing Halsey
Amputation was easier than surgery
Maybe not. They can fix shattered legs really quickly, and completely. So it must've been really bad.
Wait, what's the example for the shattered leg?
Hunters in the Dark.
Jog my memory a bit more
That human captain got her leg all broken, and went back to the Mayhem for medical aid. A weapon master went to work on her, using their medical tools on board and quickly got it back to full strength.
Hm.
Could the weapon master have access to human medical equipment and knowledge?
In a capacity that Jul might not?
Jul did say something about not caring to understand human anatomy
🤷♂️
Could the weapon master have access to human medical equipment and knowledge?
Doesn't say.
I imagine the sangheili medic was like “you know, jul, this wound isn’t that bad. We can just dig the bullet out and wrap it”
And jul was like “no cut it off”
On the latter point, at least. It was all Covenant medical equipment, though
Well the bullet exploded
I just want to make that evident
Like the internal wound would have been pretty horrific
12.7mm SAP-HE
Going with the camp of "dont bother fixing her"
That could easily mangle an elderly woman's skinny arm beyond the point that it could be saved.
We're talking splintered bone, savaged nerves, mangled arteries, pulped tissue
It's a .50 round from a 26th century pistol at relatively close range
Which then exploded
We're talking a lot of kinetic energy over a broad area
Followed by an immediate internal detonation
If Halo 4 was more R-rated, she might have had her arm blown straight off to begin with
Gnarly.
I so want a more dark, violent Halo game
Like how I used to imagine CE was when I was kid after reading The Flood
But alas
'Tis probably not to be
Indeed
I’ll join you in that camp Looters.
The TV show seems to be trying to go for some intense violence, though.
Something about aiming for PG (which makes sense given Halo's general lack of swearing) with "near-R" violence.
So that might be interesting.
“Halo’s general lack of swearing”
Reminds me of when I was 10 years old and had gotten Halo Reach a month after it’s release. My mom walked in when I was playing the hospital segment of New Alexandria at the exact moment one of the marines yells “back off you son of a b**ch*
She wasn’t happy that day
I can imagine.
I had a similar experience with the f-word in MW2
But my family, being Australian, has always been pretty tolerant of swearing up to that severity
yeah
Parents always seem to gravitate to things it'd be better for everyone if they didn't
both my parents were in my room
It's just a fundamental thing
yeah
I agree
It’s funny because it’s a rather husky female soldier, too.
Halo games have always been light on the profanity. Even when Johnson was alive, it’s not like he was swearing all the time. Yet for some reason people treat him like every line had swears
His best line doesn’t even have swears
I'm struggling to remember a swear from him right now
The strongest curse in CE (during the Flood reveal) goes to Johnson
Otherwise his dialogue is more creative than profane
I’ll cut you
A sign of Joe Staten’s talent
and perhaps the reason for Johnson’s relatively tame dialogue in Halo 3?
Besides the opening cutscenes
That is to say, Joe didn’t write spicy dialogue for Johnson.
A lot of the Johnson moments in 3 were too somber for sass
Not untrue, halo 2 had a good balance though
Yo does anybody know how these zata Halo got destroyed
Ok
Half of the focus is on MCC i think, i mean, information/promotion-wise
so it may be a while
Zeta would be the 7th ring?
Yeah.
Yes
The only ring that was part of the greater halos
But it ejected it's excessive parts and upgraded to become the lesser halo
Ah yes, the Forerunner trilogy. I remember that part.
Something odd I just realized from oblivion, no hunters in Nizat's flotilla
Oh you're right! Nice job spotting that. That's interesting.
it's really weird to think that halo entirely takes place inside the milky way galaxy
like the whole forerunner flood conflict, everything, was just the milky way. imagine what must be outside the milky way??
like did the precursors also seed worlds outside our galaxy, or did they come from outside??
To be pedantic, the Ark is outside the galaxy, at least.
wasn't it right at the very edge?
Nah, way outside
You can see the entire Milky Way off in the distance at the start of the first Ark level in Halo 3
i thought that was just the inner part visible, kinda like how it was in halo CE's intro
What a madlad
He's lining up a killshot on Cole's GF
rude
You know, in the topic of outside the galaxy, anyone finding odd.in hindsight that the forerunners sent a tiny vessel crewed by civilians rather then a military vessel when looking for the floor's beginning
Sure, they point out lifeworker would be the best for research, but they saw what the parasite could do during the war
They had a seeker
so we're moving a topic out of #644651849647128606
never mind i dont want to continue that discussion
Well now I'm curious.
it was about if citizens in the halo universe were furries for the covenant forces
I mean, statistically? Some amount, I guess.
A whole lotta alien lovers out there. And if those aliens are actually real in-universe, then it's a sure thing.
I think xenophile? Or maybe teratophilia.
latter
master chef is a lien lover, i mean, have you seen how he looks at arbiter
Little does he know, Thel only has eyes for Rtas.
it's weird to think that conversation started because of dongo using the term 'heat seek'
and i was like, 'hey what if the enemies are cold blooded, the needler still seeks them'
Well no enemy in halo far as we know was
But the ones we discuss anyway because we're filthy perverts
lol
"These are trying times, for all of us"
i repeat, it's unrealistic that there is no furry armour or body mods
Hm?
Wait...what?
any sci-fi artist who doesn't do that is just afraid
Well I know you're joking
nah you know that if there was a future like halo it's guaranteed to happen
But Spartan IVs tend to be in the business of killing Covenant
i'm not referring to specifically covenant
Or insurrectionists. Or Flood.
oh you're relating this to my previous point
Which they wouldn't cuz they're combat veterans whose buddies have been torn limb from limb by Covenant
nah the body mods thing is a separate point i made unrelated to the 'covenant attraction' thing
the #644651849647128606 chat discussion changed very quickly
I'm sure there's 26th century furries
oh for sure
Which they wouldn't cuz they're combat veterans whose buddies have been torn limb from limb by Covenant
Eh, some amount would be more likely to forgive and forget than others.
But the UNSC is unlikely to reflect that in their uniform or battledress.
Or allow for it to be reflected.
Furry culture is many wonderful things, I'm sure.
true
But befitting of military dignity
Would Helioskrill sorta-kinda count? Does have those weird feet.
i suppose halo never really had any body mods
human military dignity
It is not
And yeah
Humans from Halo don't like to play god
Mostly
mostly
Though that could apply to our world as well
They'll clone a new pair of lungs or a heart
But they won't make a man into a cat man
Most people here don't play god either.
a cat man
What a casual.
This went far further then I thought it would
And the zombies
Or I guess whatever humanity is extended to other sapient species
👍
Sapientness
Sounds like we just entered 40k
In the grim darkness of 2552, there are only hula-hoops.
Theocratic race: check
Dark beings of craziness: check
Ancient races: check
Naive new race: check
It's the vanilla flavor yes
What's Halo's equivalent of the Sororitas
WHAT
Likely female ones
Oh man, you got up in arms!
lol
Any all-female ODST unit that may exist
Just by happenstance
I knew the appropriate answer before I asked
Heretic
Irony
Grunts
Are there any alien species allied with humanity?
In 40K, or Halo?
(Speaking from an individual, not a species-wide, standpoint of course)
Though even individual Sannies and Brutes I can see bein' friendly.
Like Zo, Lydus, etc
He was a literal serial killer
Killed drones, crushed eggs, likely strangled a larva here and there
a bit rude tbh
@gilded masonhm?
Most evil alien is probably the Gravemind
Well yea
Followed by Truth perhaps
I don't want to be alarmist or anything, but that guy was a real jerk.
Which one
...Both.
Touche
Jul's hench buddy with the dog tags and Ripa are also probably on the list
Gek?
Yeah
Yeah, ol' Blind-Eye
Never liked him
Just real murderous killers
Yeah, very domineering.
Actually let's be honest, the most evil being in halo, was the precursor who mutated his comrade to become the timeless one
Probably
Probably
Yep
Yep
Edges out in experience
Sniped three Banished a km away while upside down with one hand
Hee
I wonder if the covenant were aware of alternate realities like the forerunners
The Glow
Yes forerunners use them as fuel
Yup
A L L P H O T O N S
Universe buster hoooo
😎 Photon dimension
@versed helmnot that type I think
Natal void
Baby universes
An infinite amount of numbers between 2 and 3 will never be 4.
But yeah the dimensions so far are whacky as heck
Agreed
As in
They're not different universes with slight differences
The ones we know of are radically different
Like I said
All photons
That's one of them
There not full universes as in they haven't developed life
Yet
Another is slipspace
Mhm
runs temples ugh
You can't take that from me
The glow is the proton only realm right?
@sacred dewyea
Only has protons
PHOTONS
@versed helmpretty sure just a typo
Yes indeed, protons. The particles in the center of the cell.
No, my joke had layers
Like an orge
You're just saying that
Nuh-uh
Lmao
Three step plan:
- Say proton
- Say they go in the center
- Say cell
Foolproof. 😎
- Profit?
i wish
What's going on?
The end of Silent Storm comes to mind
He was happy with seeing blue team again, swiped his fingers a Ross his helmet as their way of smiling
In The Flood he seems pretty content whenever he gets the chance for a kip
So like
On the Pelican after saving Keyes I think
Was also happy for a shower in the flood too
Food, mainly
Ration bars, their own waste, etc
I think the waste might just be water
I want to see a Spartan 4 eat a tree
what?
The UNSC has emergency ration bars which are said to be incredibly nutritionally dense
I think Buck might've been embellishing.
@gilded masoncontext?
So I don't think there's really a need to resort to the other waste
The Spartan guild said they could eat trees to get nutrition
"Guild" lmao
......what
The manual says that too? Gosh.
"Spartan 259 Tazz"
I meant the manual
Ah Nutrition from the source👌
That would be loony tunes.level of weird
Still not as weird as being able to breathe pure methane for half an hour though
Ugh
Oh yea....
I like the eating a tree bit but the methane breathing is just full on nonsense
"it is also said that a Spartan could eat a raw tree and retain the equivalent of six meals' worth of calories in terms of energy."
"The enhancements performed on the lungs potentially allow a Spartan-IV to breathe methane for around an hour."
They can also last for five minutes in space without any equipment
He recruits SIVs
when I just watched him slowly drift away the last time I played the halo reach campaign
I just kind of let it go
Is he in bad blood
He's in New Blood.
Nah 6 is still in his cave
There there, Richard.
6 is stuck in the cave until he gets enough parents’ credit card info
Someday you will move past it and heal.
Think he had a huge hole in his chest
oh right
He probably figured he’d just be a burden to Emile and Six in his condition
