There's probably an issue with the roles hierarchy on your server. Everyone can use the g.restart command. The others can be used only by the server owner, users with admin permission, and those with the GarticMod role. If you want someone to use all the commands, create a role named GarticMod and assign it to them. Try giving the role to see if they can control the bot.

I have good enough connection to stay in the discord VC, so I don't think it's a connection problem (though it definitely could be).

The bug I posted in suggestions is because of a chrome update since v108. They documented the behaviour change and there is some code that needs to be added to make the old way work. I'll try posting the link below but it might get automoderated.

I think nobodies reported it yet because this server is more focused on gartic phone. That's not a criticism.

Just wondering if I can push my luck with this random connection loss bug as well.

Gartic.io will randomly make a "connection lost" error despite the internet connection being ok.

I can open 2 gartic.io windows on the same computer and one can randomly disconnect and the other will be fine. therefore I think it is not at the user end. Is it because depending on location, certain international routes have random instability?

Would extending the connection lost server "timeout" by 1s or more allow a user web connection to try to reconnect for longer before giving up and then maybe less dropouts?

I think it's fixed, but can you guys add it as a sort of feature? like a setting to adjust it? because it was difficult to draw using the thumb when this was fixed, the distance between the point and the thumb was too tight so it's hard to know where the line actually formed.

Hello team, is there any new update or bug fix from gartic app in Iphone 12 pro max? Because I almost cant/impossible to draw a clear pic due to the touch screen and the canvas seems not sync well, I dont know how to explain.. maybe its about the Alignment and the resolution of the default app bcs the ink on the canvas looks blurred/pixelated/zoomed when I try to draw something. Maybe its the reason why the touch screen calibration doesnt match on the app. But I found in the safari browser this gartic.io web is working well but there's no sound. Its frustating..

The room language is tied to the host's choice, so you can't change it. If someone invited you to play in Dutch, you can't opt to play in English

There are a few reasons that can prevent you from using a link and entering a room:

• The room is full;
• The room was closed, so it's no longer available. The room closes after everyone leaves;
• The room requires login with Twitch or Discord. You will only be able to enter after logging in with an account from the specific platform chosen by the host;
• If the room requires login with Twitch, and you were banned from the streamer channel, you will not be able to access the room;
• You were banned from the room.

hi I did some more testing with one of the friends who has the problem.
Y51 phone has 2408x1080 specs online but when we used screenresolutiontest . com it output 393 x 786 .

Here is a screenshot of the problem. you can see a blue bar on the right I think that is the problem. Their chrome version on android seems to be the same as mine 111.0.5563.116

The red dot is where they tried to draw. and the black dot is where it actually drew.

As the layout doesn't occupy the entire screen, it affects the cursor while drawing. I simulated a similar environment with the same screen size and didn't experience this issue. However, the Chrome version I tested was updated to 112.0.5615.47. Updating Chrome may fix the problem. Pls keep me posted

I tested this resolution on my computer 302x574. I think it is the width that is the problem.

my screenshots above were after refreshing the page many times. I think it has to do with the ad that loads. Google decides which ad to place and refreshing often doens't get rid of it no matter how many times it is refreshed.

I found the code for the horizontal bar ad. it is 320px when the screen width is 302px

that happens when you resize the screen many times, each ad requests it's triggered by the screen ratio. When you resize the screen but an ad has been requested and shown on the previous screen ratio, the browser can keep that ad size until there is a new refresh by the screen or by the ad.
This tells more about resizing the browser over and over, than a bug.
The slot for showing an ad on mobile is 320x50, but the ad can be small than this.

I think the original image from the actual phone shows that the problem is not from resizing the browser. More likely it is the responsive design for the ad container does not work with these dimensions. My friends gartic still looks like this no matter how often refreshing.

Just one more image of the tall ad.. I don't actually mind that i can't see the ad properly but maybe one of the gartic team might think it is important to show the ads correctly?

I think its more important that the canvas works properly otherwise the site is unusable for some. the wide ad affects the calibration of the canvas. the tall one does not.

Gartic.io does not work very well for people with apple phones anymore. The app suffers from the misaligned bug and in safari the canvas slides off screen when entering answers

I discovered gartic.io by downloading the app. the app used to work well. I can imagine that people who download an app that doesn't work probably won't play for very long

I agree with you. I am just a user as well. The game is very fun and has a lot of potential to be better if there were some more moderation but the way it is set up only the gartic staff can moderate the rooms and they are very busy with gartic phone which has been very successful. I have looked into this problem quite a bit in the past and offered several solutions.

There is not a good way to prevent people from using a vpn

The only way is for a gartic staff to manually remove the person but because of time zones and high work load it can only work when they are free.. as far as I understand anyway
