Name: The Nail
FA: ManInAWhiteSuit
Ascent: Free Solo
Grade: 6c
Nearest Save: The Split Rock
Route Info: Begin at the far right edge of the slab. Continue up staying right until it is impossible to continue (about even with the roof). At that point, traverse left around the arete, still staying right, and continue up through a double crack system. At the end of that you’ll come to a short traverse. Go right and you’ll reach a blank dihedral. This is the crux. Note that “The Coffin” is specifically the art of climbing the low-angle slab on the right, NOT the vertical wall on the left (The Coffin).

The Nail is located on the western face of The Split Rock. It is one of four gothic-named routes by ManInAWhiteSuit.

What buffs if any used?
If it says buffs just assume all of them. I usually down an ultimate infusion which gives grip and focus. Those are primarily the ones that make a difference. Back then, I used buffs. Now I think I could do the Nail with chalk only fairly easily. Just make sure you stay to the far right on slab. Otherwise you’re off route. Watch the video at double speed!
Not quite a free solo but I managed! That crux section is annooooooyyying
(was this the correct route?)
Welp, came back and did it free!
