While I like the idea of sandbox maps, SMG advertises that it is for "tournament organizers." This is not feasible to require the tournament goers to also have a sandbox subscription in order to play in a tournament. SMG should reconsider allowing non-subscribers to use custom maps that others have created, provided they have the underlying map. I see only a niche usage of this otherwise.

Or allow tourney participants temporary access to the sand box map, other wise a lot of games will have to be played using the alternate "no one has sandbox sub" map
I just wish I could buy it. Come on SMG, take my money
I would love for this tool to include the ability to create new maps, maps from scratch.
I understand that the tool is very new and still needs development, but it has a lot of potential that I wouldn't want to see wasted. I think this tool could be very beneficial for everyone if they allowed users to create new maps and upload them to the Steam Workshop, just like in Counter-Strike. As a map designer for both games, I would like to be able to play and test my own maps so they can be added to the game's map list, not just have it be a tool for modifying some aspects of the game developed on that map.
If this feature were implemented, SMG could organize map design contests better and faster, the community could get more maps, and SMG could earn more money. I think it would be a great benefit for everyone.
I figured a way around this. Download on mobile and tie your accounts, then purchase on mobile.
Works better for me actually since my Steam account purchasing is... locked down... to prevent surprises
I got through all the bugs and bought it
