#Meme channel being used to post screenshots of blatant stalling.

Here are just a few examples of this.

Can we get these "memes" deleted and the players reported? This is gross behavior.

It really frustrates me to see these kind of posts active in the meme channel. Apologies if SMG is working to get these players banned and are leaving the memes up while they assess such bans.

Screenshots are inherently static. They could be capturing a moment of action such as the final attack.

Even in the example with the 627 stack blocking a player in Australia who had only 19 troops remaining (now receiving 3 for 21 total) the most classic stalling type photo, we can’t say for sure that the pink player hadn’t just stormed the whole board the previous turn and perhaps killed multiple players. Sure the troop numbers seem suspiciously large but that doesn’t prove stalling.

If the argument is that SMG ought to look at the meme channel on their own discord and make sure there aren’t photos from games where stalling was reported, then sure (if they have time for that). They would be able to tell from game records if it is actually a player who should be banned or warned. In fact if the pictures are from games where repeat turn stalling occurred then they may and very likely have already been reported and warned.

If we had reaction threads to memes perhaps we could question the poster there. Without more info they are also interpretable as lame “I won a game of risk” memes.

Some have proposed that all pictures that could be interpreted to imply stalling should be removed and the users could even be banned from this discord. But if we can’t prove that the picture is actually showing and deliberately glorifying stalling, that would mean that many pictures from the final moments of games could never be shown since they could be interpreted as stalling in their static form.

it's really hard to explain 19 troops in Australia in the (new) second screenshot unless that was a 1 and then there were 6 rounds of stalling

maybe a 6 trade and 4 rounds of stalling, but no one defends from that position
