Killing Red would have meant finally progressing the game and potentially giving the other two hope so they would fight amongst each other. Green Already did keep attacking White hesitantly the turns before. If I had just taken Red's place down there, I might have gotten something better than 3rd, but honestly even that would have been fine for the worth of my time.
Why Green would kill me over Red is beyond me. I was the more active one. If he had killed Red, I certainly would have worked with him.
That was "Master" gameplay right there.
