Is it really "lucky" if your opponents let you have it? It's more of a mess up by them and therefore proof of your "skill" (as opposed to luck).

Nono, this was fs luck, if someone had placed something in NA I prob would've lost due to being overagressive

Fair enough. I think it's their mistake for not making sure you couldn't take it. Even in manual it's easy to make out if someone is trying to take a big bonus. And if you went for SA first, then I don't think there is any risk in trying for NA right after. I mean, what's the downside in trying?
