Lost skill points

After the season reset I went back to 16000 points as expected , from 18600.
I won a game and am only on 16719.
Any ideas? I thought I would regain my lost ones.

When you get reset the points you lose are gone forever

Nope
You have to re-rank up

Best way to deal with reset is to get to the next rank class before it

In your case that would have been to play
Get to GM
That way when the reset happens you just go back to 26k
