Also should I be dividing my troops differently? I figured I keep a hard exterior (yellow has seemed chill all game which is why both them and I have such low count there)
Welcome to classic fixed. All you can do is wait for someone to bot or slam out.
This game mode stalemates a lot. What you can do is kill players earlier when it's more or less profitable, meaning position yourself in a way you can kill someone on 4 or 5 cards when the first trade comes in and they wasted some troops already.
I also recommend playing these settings with alliances on so you can communicate better with other players to team up on someone and progress the game.
Nobody has an incentive to do anything here because attacking someone means you'll just weaken yourself and die next.
Ah I gotcha. I was wondering if it had to do with the game mode and/or its settings. Is this the most commonly played version of Risk? Not that I mind, I'm just new to the game and trying to get better and play the most played version/ruleset of the game.
Get good at Fixed Classic first. Highly recommend, it'll teach you how to be friendly and at war properly. Then try Progressive Classic, it's a faster game with a less focus on bonuses since card sets get so big. Then try Capitals Classic. Those 3 will master you on classic map and get you skilled for Europe Advanced
