Since starting to play a few days ago, I haven’t won a single game. Now this is partially cause of skill issue (working on it), but also because apparently the game doesn’t allow me to.
I had multiple occasions in which I eliminated every other player and controlled every piece of the board, but the game just continued for dozens of turns until I quit.
Is this just a bug or does the game not have a victory screen when you fulfill the victory condition?

Well we have sth in common 'can't win games but for me it is totally a skill issue
Yes there is an end-game bug where you kill everyone and the game doesn't end
When that happens feel free to leave the game, it counts as a win and you get the rank change within 24h

Depends on game mode. Yeah sometimes it stalls if players are careful. Still building army taking cards is a viable strategy. One attack or one surrender of a continent can already drive game into motion. Play progressive it stalls less then fixed. Or try another map

All I play is classic fixed. If a game last over an hour, I'm going to start looking for second place.
