Horizontal pictures if that’s easier to see for anybody!

General Gladius (yes like the sword

The dice: thumbs up is 6 and down is 1, because the emperor would basically decide gladiators fate with thumbs up/down. Then there’s some different weapons that gladiators used.

The cards:
infantry: gladiator (obviously)
Cavalry: lion (sorta horse like?)
Artillery: the emperor would decide the gladiators fate based on the reactions of the crowd, so winning over the crowd was just as important as the fighting itself.

This is really well made for a paper map. Looks 3D, with cool connections. Reminds me of Seagrog's Fortress. Could be a cool prog map. Seeing some of the names for the bonuses is also cool, it helps put the Colosseum more into perspective - its pretty well known in popular culture but I never really knew where 'important people' sat before.

Thank you for saying that! This all comes from me being an absolute history nerd. More important people usually sat at bottom rows where you could see better, less important people in the mid range of seats, and slaves in the top. But I didn’t want to separate them by row so I just did whatever looked balanced. But I wanted to have at least some little bits and pieces of my nerdiness in there

That's a good call. Seagrog's Fortress separates some of the bonuses by layers like an onion... which doesn't really work well for that map.

Learned from another’s mistake without even knowing about the mistake lol
Does it being paper throw anyone off though, since most of this stuff is digital? Should I try to redraw in a digital format?

Personally, I think your paper maps are excellent. It helps you stand out - most paper maps give a rushed or messy impression, which yours doesn't.

Thank you! I’m glad you think it’s good! I’m honestly more comfortable with paper and pencil than I think I will ever be with digital stuff.
