It does in this context, cause imo both are "right", BUT if you ask "color or colour" then colour is the right answer. Its like even tho both are 100% correct, it doesnt matter just cause u made the question about "what is more right"

I work in translation (Korean/Chinese/Japanese to English); our staff and readers are international. Yet, we still use American quotation and spelling (most readers expect it). American quotation is simply more beautiful than British. We do use the metric system--I feel as though this has become the international standard: to use American quotation and spelling with the metric system. So, I would say "color."
It's more that americans make a bigger deal out of it being spelled correctly, whereas brittish don't care enough about it because it's a tiny variation
