Thats a classic classic map with the board being broken up into halves, blizz in kamchatka, alaska, and iceland, i started the game with all almost all my troops in the corner of asia, only 2 troops in all of NA, my biggest stack in japan (1 point entry with the blizz in kam. ) and to start the game i had the country guarding japan, so no one ever knew I was stacking their, always keeping like a 6 guard, was 13 when black rolled his 184 in my 110, he had 80 something left). Was trading cards with orange who held ausie... I was kind of forced into japan turtle, didnt work... Everyone was 1 stack guarding bonuses, even orange with most troops in china... except white was battling yellow out of SA over NA

2, potentially 3 people down if someone overextends and tries to get double bonus, plus you likely get atleast africa for free

Hitting a 1 stack bonus does nothing, thats the same as killing off 6 troops

(or 3-4 for the cheaper continents), kinda why passive SA players stack in Peru, who cares if their bonus gets broken they barely miss anything and it means NA/Africa and Europe are more reachable

So I didnt fully commit to the turtle. I wanted to check to see if the war started in eu or africa or they left to clean up over the war for NA and get out of japan turtle... 1st turn everyone else had like like 10 stacks in eu africa and yellow in NA and I got 13 troops huddled together in asia corner, 1st turn. It would have been risky to try to leverage that into a bonus, black maybe kill me sooner than later... I had about 150 troops to his 200 when it went down. I agree with a lot of your strategies Ive seen you chat about... and aprec. the input. Your prob right not my duty to poke the bear, he did have his stack in ukrain for long time, i was surprised it wasnt there and couldnt help but take a peak... Not my 1st rodeo, been in top 200, gm with 2 dif accounts, but you cant win them all

Whenever I cant get a bonus safe I feel like you dont have to do anything aslong as something is happening

Not ideal sure, but I manage to have a higher position median as nomad than aus or NA

#

(But only NA as first continent, if I can get SA I try to take NA every time unless he got super lucky on spawns) you win everytime almost impossible not to, only becomes hard when africa starts perma breaking you and leaving a stack of troops in not realizing that when im done with conquering NA ill leave SA to be capped for free by him)

Sometimes EU tries to fck me by putting half his shit in greenland, but then I just pretend I capped all of it and dont give up SA but territory bonus will grant me almost the same amount of troops as a large continent anyways so I dont care

ppl dont start fking with me unless I try to greed and hold both SA + NA

But if I manage to do it according to plan NA becomes like my highest winrate
