OK. Well, that is unfortunate. It is a bug that some (a small minority) have. I don't know if it will get fixed in the next update. But I am sure this has been reported to SMG already.
But from what I hear, it does not really matter, since you just exit the game from the flag once you win, and it will still count that game as a win for you.

I have to resigned forfeit the game I can’t just exit. Unfortunately I don’t believe it counts as a victory
