#1v1 GM Playing Same-Rank Players

So I am going to rank up to 1v1 GM, with Manual WD, Classic Map. BUT with a slight twist. I can only play players that are the exact same rank as my account.

So for example if I'm Novice, I have to play Novices only. If I'm Beginner, I have to play Beginners only. And so on...

My goal here is to prove to SMG that the ranking system can be fixed to where you cannot noob grind anymore.

Game 3: Win.
Game 4: Win.
Game 5: Win.
Game 6: Win.

How do you know that they’re a beginner/novice before playing them in ranked?

so if I'm, let's say, Expert
I set the minimum rank to Expert, and the maximum rank to Expert

I believe the problem is more, that they don't think it's broken.

Did they think it was broken before the leaderboard split?

I'm not sure. They may have done it because of all the top players in the game telling them they wanted it changed. That process alone took some time though.

I recall seeing screenshots of all the players at the top changing their names to something along the lines of "fix the ranking system".

tbh I should try doing the same thing
but after seeing a warning they gave to those players; maybe not the best idea

From my experience, SMG will often argue against these ideas that "top players" would like to see being implemented, saying that they have to consider the entirety of the player base. We are in the minority. Even though we're the only ones being vocal about it.

I'd argue that caring about the most active and "best" players in any game is the most important thing. We have an in-game leaderboard that is in no way representative of the actual best players in the game.
