I was getting the same error for the past 2 days on Steam. Well, I have managed to find a solution in an unorthodox way (or so). I downloaded the game on(mobile) app store, logged in and my payment was successful without any errors. Might be a steam or regional issue or something Idk but worked on mobile app.
Eventhough its been a year since this post, I thought its better to share with those having the same issue on Steam and haven't tried the mobile app. Maybe it works on people having this error because first thing I've done is to create ticket> search for solutions and read everything related to ''error 4757''. I'll just use the mobile app to buy the gems then play it on my pc.
