#Getting a VIP badge is difficult

As far as I can tell I qualify for a VIP badge, since I'm currently ranked in the top 10. So 10 days ago I opened a ticket with smg and got a response within a day, asking for my discord Username. I was not on this discord yet, so I joined and answered the question, also posting a png of my discord username.
I didn't get a response in that ticket since.

It's probably not what smg wants but I opened an other ticket, since I felt I was not going to get a response in the earlier ticket. To my surprise the response time was great: within 40 mins my new ticket was closed, without any comment. No VIP badge, no answer, no additional questions.

If you are not giving out these badges anymore just say so.

So here are my questions:
Does smg still give out the VIP badge?
Do I qualify if I'm currently in the top 10?
Does smg have a process for answering support tickets?
Or is closing them just the easiest thing to do?
(My previous experience is mixed at best.)

Is you're first ticket still open?
I know that SMG give out the vip badge in batches, so i can't be that you have to wait more then a month (or longer) to receive the badge.

Yes. If what you are saying is true they could respond with something like: We will give you a VIP badge. This may take several weeks or months. My previous experience is that they don't respond and don't do anything (2/3 tickets).

It's a small team that is responsible for the badges, but good to read that you're first ticket is still open, so my guess is that you are gonna receive you're badge.

Ah oke, i have another experience, but i know if it is not urgent that it can take a while.

I can imagine, i also reached top 10 (1v1), but i have no plans to go for the nummer 1 spot :).

When I submitted my request for a VIP badge, it took over a month. Just be patient.

When we're scanning through tickets to identify any uptick in issues / any trends - we also merge any new tickets with any currently open ones

I'll add to our backlist to look at automating it so we can set a standard response for it - it's a little complicated with other automations in place (as some ask for extra info etc) - and we don't want to be sending 2 or 3 emails at once just because it's a 2nd ticket opened

# formal heart Ty, did they say anything?

Well, I don’t really check my email all that often, so part of the delay was on my end. They responded via email, I needed to respond to them. I didn’t see that email for a couple weeks. I responded and it took some time after that to get done. I wasn’t in a rush, and figured it would take some time… and it did. No biggie.

I guess I asked about two weeks ago as well and got literally the same answer. "Please provide your DC username" 😂 no answer after that

It depends on the verified badge type being applied for (and it doesn't have its own "category" just now because it's a tiny % of overall tickets, vs things like "forgot password" or "lost account" etc)

Additionally there is a manual review process for any verified badge requests, basically means that an administrator needs to ensure that the player is in good standing, is not recently banned or trying to evade a rejected verified badge via an alt account etc
