I like the fact that any tournament has the ability to be featured in game and request a free map of the week. That could be very useful for growing the community

In response to this: #1207140423923933274 message Even though the Devs did not respond positively to game logic being shared on their end I think we should keep pushing for more access to that. I do not believe that them providing it would provide an unfair advantage to anyone. In fact I think it would do the opposite. As it is now only a very select few have access to the backend tools that some have worked very hard to reverse engineer including:

  • Zombie pathing maps
  • Disconnection maps
  • Bot logic
  • Odds calculators (with troop losses)

Having SMG create a forum with this information would open up that information to everyone and make it easier for players around the board.

As a principle I believe we should also have access to the tiebreakers in ranked. Not sure why that's not available information. It currently happens in the game and we should have the ability know what place we got in a game.

I kinda expected many of these answers, to be the way they were. The last Q&A was also very centered around the network overhaul (which is a huge project for the game).

So it's kinda obvious that this eats up most of the dev resources at the moment. I still appreciate that they take the time to give us some feedback regardless.

It's a bit unfortunate that we got such a clear no about game logic (ranked tiebreaker especially), because reverse engineering that would require severe break of the fair play rules.

Can't who won be tested in pass&play or casual private? (The winning conditions would still apply for the final placements)

At worst I could also confirm placements from a game (e.g if you've put 4 separate tiebreaker type items at the time victory would occur, can see which is prioritised over others)

Speed blitz doesn't have the troop capacity to test the impact of troops in a meaningful way

Yeah I can confirm here and there, it'd be good if it's for example:
GameID_1 - playerA win, playerB has X playerC has Y, to confirm if playerB or playerC is 2nd
GameID_2 - etc

Like when someone cap runs it could say Third instead of defeat

But changing such a thing would be a lot of work for very little benefit, that's why I wanted to know the logic behind it

It'd be nice if placement was listed beside the friend IDs but it only really works if not already friends

Otherwise yeah still quite a bit of work as adding a new screen for it
