#Why Not Display Bot Count in Lobby Catalog?

Ok, no way to post images to #risk_ideas threads. A recent post reminded me of an issue. Bot counts of lobbies are not displayed. Players have to join lobbies to see if there are bots or not. This results in players entering and immediately leaving lobbies, when they notice bots. This is counterproductive to the match making system.

The sensible solution is to add a bot count indicator in conjunction with the current player count indicator.

I have supplied an image where I have highlighted current elements in green. I have also created one more box, highlighting an unused area on the screen in orange. I would suggest modifying the current indicator and moving it to the upper section of this area. I would suggest creating a new indicator to go in the lower area to display the bot count of the lobby.

Bots can still count toward the player count. They would also be displayed in the bot count indicator. This would give players a heads up if a lobby has bots. I feel like this would help players find the lobby they want faster.

good idea, i dont like bots in FFA ranked games. Also would be helpful if the start button goes frozen for like 2 seconds when creator adds/removes bots, so you can leave if you want. I hate entering a 6-way game, and after 4 people enter, the host adds 2 bots & starts game, and i cant leave in time in normal way

I posted a solution for this already. Just change lobby size and bot amount to modifiers, which you can't change at all in the lobby.

I like it the way it is. I like the ability to either add a bot or remove a bot depending on what the people who join the lobby request. If a lobby is taking a while and everyone starts clicking “add a bot” that lets me know that their patience is running out for waiting in the lobby. Add the bot and start the game. It is also nice a lobby is taking a while when people come into the lobby and click “remove a bot” (if I added one), to let me know they don’t want to play with a bot. For me, it is just fine the way it is… I understand you disagree, but I’m sure people are split on this issue.

I think a lot of people add bots to make the lobby look fuller and then remove them as real people join

Is there a way to see whether bots are active or neutral in the lobby? not knowing that before joining a game is very annoying
