Cheating reports are not handled via community chatrooms, to report cheating you need to do so in-game.
Process:
- Click the avatar of who you wish to report on the right
- Select the red triangle box on the left panel below the avatar in alliance window
- Select the reason and hit send
You will receive a reply within 30d regarding the outcome of the report.
Ya, I reported in game (of course) when he placed 800+ troops during round 4… it was rather obvious he was cheating… I have the screenshot if needed.
Hackers usually get banned very quickly as it’s easy to see and catch. In my experience it only takes like a day or two usually to get the message that they were banned. Any games they played in will be basically deleted so yes you should get your points back
Three days later…. Zzz zzz. Let’s see, the hacker was able to “win” the game I was in was about 10-15 minutes as the game went 5 rounds. If there has been no action to this point, I wonder how many games the hacker has impacted at this point. I would think quick action would be needed…
That picture is from round 5…
Well it’s possible the hacker deleted the account/created a new one in order to avoid a ban. Or maybe they just haven’t played since? I find it unlikely (although definitely possible) that an account cheating this blatantly wouldn’t be reported constantly and be automatically banned based on that without even the other stuff
Please… if “hackers” just delete accounts and create new accounts to hack with. You can’t tell me that SMG is unable to prevent that. There has to be something that can be done to prevent that.
People can modify HWIDs, IP Addresses, make new Steam accounts if it's banned, use new devices, it's a pretty widespread issue across gaming in it's entirety
You even have tens (if not hundreds) of millions of dollars that some big triple-A devs spend on making custom anti-cheat software on top of their own current systems - and persistent malicious users program new ways around it - a neverending cat and mouse game to an extent
Well… 18 days have gone by… talk about discouraging… no word on this. Blatant hacker… takes points… innocent victim loses points forever… at this point… what does it matter…
What did you not get a response on?
- player suspended one (given tips on fair play)
- player(s) in recent games banned
From what I can see,
You reported them on 15 Jan
They were suspended on 15 Jan (first response gets sent)
They were banned by an administrator on 18 Jan
All of their games were recalculated on 25 Jan (second response gets sent)
Yeah the first message got sent on 15 Jan - I don't see the recalculation one, but yeah
I did not receive any message about anything regarding this incident. Why would I post three days later about it? Why would I post today about it?
Their name might have been listed as their steam name rather than their RISK name - your post on it was the same day I see a "General Bala XXXXX" reported them, and the same day they were suspended
Hey, if you’re telling me that they are banned. That is good enough by me. If it’s been recalculated, that works for me. Thanks for letting me know.
