What’s Worse than stream snipers?

I’ll tell you… time stream snipers traveling the multiverse jumping between parallel worlds just so they can play in a game of risk where they already know the result of every roll and ever intended move of every player.

This kind of cheating really has to be stopped before the small changes they are making in the time stream to gain a few measly rank points start piling up and creating untold butterfly effects that may destroy the very fabric of space time or more importantly undermine user confidence in the game which could seriously damper SMG’s ability to sell dice skins. We need users of Risk Global Domination to be sure and confident that their fate isn’t already predetermined by simple forces just outside of their comprehension. And to do that SMG must immediately dispatch a crack team of time-stream-sniper-stoppers. I think we can all agree that that is the correct solution. SMG’s intended solution of users watching out for odd time anomalies and reporting on each other will only create an environment of fear and suspicion.

I just hope the message reaches you before they manage to travel back and steal my grandfather’s risk board in an attempt to assure that I never write this message.

Very bad starting position options for capitals 😄 (This is very, very bad and sad 😄 )

#

Also comes in mind: great capital position option, but with one-stack next to a two oponent 4 stacks 😄

You think they stream snipe for points? I don’t think that is the reason for the snipe at all…

I don't see a reason to be THAT upset unless it's fog or they ruin the game.
Sure there is an advantage hearing the streamer talk, but I guess you should just consider it business expenses.

Poker streamers obviously insert a delay to prevent sniping - aka reverse time travel!
Maybe a 1min delay would already prevent ppl from finding the lobby?
talking to the audience becomes a bit tricky - because time travel

Snipers only snipe those who stream. If you don’t want snipers, don’t stream. I will make a crazy argument here. It’s the streamers who create this problem. Think about it, most of the streamers are recording the video to post to YouTube. So, they are either getting paid for those views (or working towards it). In addition, they want to also get paid by Twitch for live streaming the games. Heck, why get paid once, if you can get paid twice… and some of the streamers want to play ranked games on top of that. Well, in today’s day and age, if you are streaming playing a game, snipers are going to find a way to snipe. They do it for lots of reasons. I still remember the video JJ did when he was stream sniped during a ranked game (and it’s also happened to Pete and Kylted too), he freaked out that he “caught the sniper” and he reported the sniper and had “video evidence” which it was clearly a sniper based on the other player’s movements. That sniper is going to live on YouTube forever! They do it for the attention, they will always do it for the attention. They live for it. Ranking points, hey, they are a perk… the overwhelming reason is for their own enjoyment that they feel the “ruined” that game for JJ or Pete or Kylted… if you are going to stream… the snipers are going to snipe.

Most stream snipers don't play competitively - they're more often just creating new accounts to try to get into a streamers game as an unknown member (so remembering names doesn't even really help)
Why they do it is a bit of a mystery, I'd assume they want the attention of the streamer for some reason due to their warped sense of reality.
You get some that claim to be doing it for other reasons like making developers change stuff, but they have much more chance of getting change by giving feedback - being a pain in the *** to the community & to the developers just paints a target on them & their reasons are meaningless by that point

#

The other explanation would be that they want to beat a "top player" because they can't compete competitively in normal ranked lobbies - skill issue 😐

Do they use this kind a transportation?

Basically, if streamers don't want to be sniped - then during game selection and awaiting for missing people they have to switch their OBS (or whatever they use) to some background and not to tell what they selected or by which name/country for until the player validation starts. (Otherwise snipers really require DeLorean)

I might be stupid, but how does stream sniping work in Risk? I played Counter-Strike a lot and people gain an advantage over enemies by stream sniping. They now know where he is on the map continuesly. What advantage do stream snipers get in Risk?

I fear these bastards have already done their work. And hope is already lost. In fact, they have captured your grandfather’s game board @manic vine and replaced the original “Risk” with the game “Balanced & Safe War”, although this game is now being called “Risk” due to their successful plot.

#

Only a time-stream-sniper-stopper will do, to go back in time, put the original red dice Back, Restore Chaos, and Banish these cute & fun & glowing Balanced Dice Imposters, which soil the integrity of the very name.
