I lost around 2,000 points the other day when suicided into by a noob, and then picked off by others. No reason I can tell for the suicide, just one of those things. Maybe they were having a bad day? The annoying thing is the amount of ranking points that are lost compared to the maximum you can possibly win. It doesn't seem fair or equitable to keep playing a game that inversely rewards players damaging other players deliberately Is there a solution, more players will leave if a solution cannot be found
#Losing more points than you can win? Is that fair?

The solution is to play people at your level, that will have fewer points lost as a consequence.
Another way to go is to play unranked games. People tend to play more to win and less to sabotage others in case they feel like they can't, when no RPs are at stake. That, in case that you are playing for fun.
But if you are trying to grind through the ladder, you are in a world of trouble, because in order to have that lobby full, when reaching, say GM status, getting people your same level could take forever. GMs rarely join others' games. They've reached a status where they want to create their own games, under their own rules. So you'll always end up playing against lower level players, therefore exposing yourself to lose more points than you could possibly win, especially if you are playing FFA, which seems to be the case.
Thank you, alej06. It is the case that I am trying to get up the ladder, got to 23000 before the end of the season, back to 16000 at the reset, then got busted. It's very frustrating though.
