I believe the Scottish flag should be added as a country flag in game!! Scotland is even a territory on some maps!! Free the Scots!!! I shall also stream for the first ever time if this happens until i rank up the GM so i will share the pain!!!

Sorry to say, Scotland, like Wales, Northern Ireland and England are not considered countries since the UK was formed. This is why although an overwhelming majority of Scots voted to stay in the EU can't join unless they become independent from the UK - which is a bad idea for the scots unless they can make up the shortfall of 34% GDP provided by the rest of the UK's taxes.
Check for a list of recognised countries on the UN website.

Although I do have to say with the launch of the historical British map, it possibly should have been added then. So IDK

What does the UN have to do with flags in the risk game?

Risk World Cup recognizes Scotland I believe.

What’s the UN’s position on “Unspecified” “Antarctica” “Taiwan” Etc ?

Not to mention “Holy See” an important flag for a permanent population of one just in case he’s a risk player.

It where we get the definition of a country from. If you want a country flag you could point them to it, else it's a state flag, and I doubt SMG would want to add all the US state

scotland isnt technically a country. its part of uk just like wales, northern ireland, and england. if scotland were to be added then hundreds of other "countries" would have to be added.

I think my point is being lost haha im not wanting a political debate! @honest valve @unborn valley this is around player base and there are players who would like this small cosmetic change, if you say these hundreds of other countries would need to be added, well if someone who is from there wants to start a thread they can! Also please note the UK is made up of 4 countries…… it is not a country in its own right so yeh Scotland is a country, maybe not an independent one but as i said lets not turn this into a political debate

The game already includes places like British Indian Ocean Territory, which doesn't even have citizens.

So there is room in the already existing flag concept. Its just about SMG is willing to do so.
