#Bot Out Scum

I have never been closer to quitting this game than right now. The last 4 games I have played have had one or more people bot out to bait myself and other players into hitting each other, only to come back 3 rounds later to clean up the board. I am so sick of people getting away with this, since SMG has to make a good faith assumption it's poor connection and not something more malicious. It is the most blatant form of cheating I experience nearly every game and it feels really frustrating to have my game influenced by this so heavily. People slam into me thinking we are in a 1v1 just for the player to return and clean us both up. Disgusting.

But yeah fake bot outs are annoying I got you

Same dude used the max time each turn when he realized I would beat him too. Absolutely trash.

Unlike blatant colab, stalling or hacking, which I’ve only encountered very rarely, subtle cheating like tactical bot-outs or slight stalling are way more common

Indeed. I think it is because, like my earlier point, SMG needs to be careful about banning due to what could be a genuine connection issue. It's a tough spot for them to be in, but as a player, it is genuinely ruining the game experience for me.

They’re working on connection improvements for Risk this year, so a bi-product of that could be botting out issues becoming more manageable

Play fixed caps with automated bots. I never see bot out strats ever.

Got the same and mine was clear. Bot-out in the beginning to come back when all real player were dead, quick board cleaning and I was beaten before I realized it

Well there are so many ways how you could prevent that but somehow smg is not implementing them yet...

Yes, delete all game modes except fixed caps
