#Why is there a cap on battle points?

I've only hit the daily cap a few times so far, but each time I ask myself "Why does a cap even exist?"

It doesn't give you any in game advantage, and rewards are limited to however many cosmetic xp upgrades tiers there are. I recently saw someone math out how it would take about 2.5years playing every day to even max out these tiers.

For me the cap just acts as a disincentive to keep playing. It makes me want to engage less if I am not able to progress along the reward structure.

My suggestion: Much like other games, I would prefer a daily xp bonus for your first couple games, with each game after rewarding a reduced amount of xp. This way players are still incentivised to play a little each day, but are not punished for higher success or engagement on any given day.

So that Players are forced to login every day to Play Games, which increases their Traffic Income + Potential In Game Purchases the more they do this. It looks like a Mean System, but that's just how every Major Gaming Company does it at this point on getting as much Money as they can

They already have a cap on battle tokens for those without premium, so the majority of players this likely affects are those who have already invested in premium.

As I pointed out in my suggestion, most games do NOT cap your daily/weekly xp gains, they merely throttle them after a certain point each day/week.

Such systems incentivise players, whose goal is efficient use of time, to login daily and use up their "daily xp boost." Unlike the current system, this would also allow players to remain engaged for longer periods of time (i.e. streamers, win streaks, day of leisure, etc.). The more players online at any given moment, the better the variety of games being played, thus a better product being offered.

but yea, your choice with Premium

I'd prefer having a limited number of challenges (so you get some daily challenges / easy and some weekly challenges / medium) - this would keep a limit on battle point progression but it'd make it more objective rather than arbitrary points that aren't easy to track how many you get & why

That would be more towards things like:
Play a limited time map (Arkeanos/Ibailand) as hard challenges, Capture Asia and hold it for 2 turns as a daily easy challenge

It means playing the same thing won't get you the points, so you'd be trying different things

The main purpose of battle points being introduced in the first place is a reward system that applies to our single player-exclusive playerbase alongside our MP/ranked players, at the moment the cap provides an achievable (and not overly challenging) task that provides gems & cosmetics for 0 gems / $

If we don't have a cap there's little to no incentive for premium (as you could use ads for tokens & play SP games repeatedly) for 500 games & you'll get pretty close to getting premium for free in a super short time frame - maybe in removing gems entirely from it, and keeping it as battle-point-exclusive cosmetics it'd not have any reason for a cap?

It would then encourage playing excessively (not great for family-friendly as it's a bad practice you'll see across most current mobile games) - it's a tricky balance to get right either way
