Even if the min rank filter is set to Expert, I still end up playing novices. Ok, so it might be possible to lose 1 rank while playing but surely not two. Is it a bug?

Previously we’d only see this ocassionally because of lag in leaderboards updating.
May look like it’s happening more now because of leaderboard reset, and whether it’s displaying FFA or 1v1 ranks

So when I finish an FFA tourament the avatars could be displaying the 1V1 rank? That doesn't make any sense...

OMG, I just played a game and every player was a beginner when I had it set to Expert as minimum...

Also some of these players are so slow in their behaviour it's like your playing a bot. I think you devs are trying to make this game look more popular than it is at the expense of better transparent gameplay.
Update: So it appears I have been blocked so editing instead.
What other reason can there be? And why is it that there are no games to play in lobby and yet within 1 min of creating a game it is full. This was NOT the case before the update!

What's more likely is that with fog, blizzards, zombie mode & portals being premium settings - more free to play players are looking for premium games, and less are hosting - so premium setting lobbies fill up quite quickly

There is one upside though in that you simply no longer care about the ranking since yopu end up playing novices when you should be playing a higher rank. So thanks for that!

I grind Classic fixed world dom FFA for rank and I find that it’s the opposite for me (not that it’s a bad thing). I have my setting to intermediate minimum rank and recently have been playing expert+ lobbies which has significantly increased my rank. Are you sure you don’t have the settings set to expert max lobbies?

I don't go near automatch. I create multi tournaments of 5 players with max Master (I don't trust Grandmasters) and min whatever rank I am. Then at the end of the game splash screen I get all kinds of ranks from masters to novices. 😦

So they got back to me a suggested I check the modifiers. Upon checking I noticed that all the filters BAR the minimum rank filter had been carried over from the normal filters. DOH!
