#Are devs open to an alternatice dice strategy?

What would need to be documented for evaluation?

I'm thinking a strategy that uses true random, but stops if the attacker's army drops below a set % of the defender's army.

Some of the situations I think are overlooked by current dice options:

• If you have the smaller army in a balanced blitz game, so want to roll with true random, but don’t have time for loads of slowrolls

(could simply be resolved by option to turn off slow-roll animations to speed them up)

• Trying to card block an opponent, so want to get their stack down to 1 troop without taking the territory.

Could be resolved by the option to blitz, but with a limit on when to stop attacking based on opponent’s troops left

• Wanting to blitz fast, but only continuing the attack when you can use the full 3 dice, and stopping before wasting troops attcking with 1 or 2 dice.

Slider could be adjusted to allow this, since currently all troops you allocate with slider get suicided, even if the last couple would be using 1-2 dice

I would hate a true random blitz option in my BB games. Successful slow rolls already feel super punishing.

Allowing true random slow-rolls in balanced blitz, but keeping the animations on, so they’re not too fast?

All the time. When I attack someone 8-2 and then lose with 1-1 left, that's infuriating. I would stop at 4-2 or 4-1. Really, any time the attacking army drops to 4, the next rolls should be manual. (btw, cooldown on a thread you start should be shorter, having to wait 15 minutes to reply). The % option would for situations that are spiraling out of control, such as a 90-65 attack and suddenly it's 40-40. That's a full stop in a real game.

Just seems more intuitive to stop at a give number, than a percentage.

Well, you can always use the "blitz slider" to limit your troops.
It is, however a bit unclear how/if that affects the odds.

Oh, you want true random, because you need luck to win 😉
I lean more towards disallowing true random, this would simplify the UI, too.
You could click "blitz" or use the slider
