So I was host, I was 1st knocked out after being teamed on and I decided to spectate. 5min later, the game completley reset back to the original state at the beginning around 6 turns in. I was then able to half play as I could make a move quickly, but the bot was also in control. Anyone ever have this happen? I found it hilarious especially being a new player with 15 games played now.🇨🇦

The reset bug is one of those very rare bugs that noone can seems to be able to explain, but that’s been around for so long, that Risk tournaments even have written rules on how to respond if one occurs during a tourney game

Hard to say without evidence, but over time we’ve seen a lot of bugs in Risk that took a while for devs to work out how to solve.

Meanwhile proven cases of hacking are extremely rare, and the hackers get banned very fast.

In @quaint crow’s story here, he said he died very fast from teamers, then came back to life.

If his opponents teamed on him, then hacked to bring him back to life, that would be a very unusual behaviour

This is a known issue where there's a mismatch between app version and server version of a live game - I'm pretty sure it was narrowed down to "missing data through provider" - so one of those 'can happen' but '1 in 10,000 chance' type of thing

Came across a player reaching out about this as either a bug or cheating with ~2k games played and they'd never seen it before - seeing it at 15 games sounds like a first 😂

Those types of extremely rare but unavoidable bugs are the types of things our new MP engine shouldn't have issues with
