Dried forest a bust 4 sulfer

I can't seem to hold my mouth right or something!
I have made 3 trips to dried forest solely for sulfer. I bounced 3 times each, so essentially 9 maps, and did not get a single sulfer. WTH?
Is there anywhere else to get sulfer fairly easy?

Sulfur is scarce mostly . Spirit cave gives some , but it resets per 2 days . Dried forest is good not because it gives a lot , but because you can do it all day long fairly cheap

And you will stack it eventually

Yea, it's just time consuming.
I can clear it with T2 armor and weappns, and not use any heal, so it is cheap.

Yeah , very time consuming , i admit . But it been my main source of sulfur and even gunpowder for a long time . Too long for me to find an alliance back in the days

I guess odds are against me! Cleared 7 more maps and got 5 sulfur, and 2 gunpowder! I haven't gone anywhere but dried forest in 2 days, cleared 16 maps, and that's all I got?!? There's GOT to be a better way! Just another frustration I take a pill for!! 🤪

Also, when you need it the most, you will find it the least.

When farming anything, make sure to have a few spots in your backpack reserved just for items you can only obtain by finding them in the wild.

When i farm any mine for ore/coal i always have space for glycerol/sulphur/gunpowder/gunparts/whiskey/fasteners/rare ingredients… i know i wont be able to get them otherwise (or are kind of hard to get).

Yesterday I was in the ghost cave and brought 51 sulfur home.

I can usually bring back 10 or more sulfur from every mine I hit. I search every chest in other areas too and I never use it. I tend to find 10-30 in the iron mine alone

That's why I say I must not be holding my mouth right. I hear all this, but when I try it, I only get a fraction of what's being said.
I clear the iron mine at least 5-6 times a day in 2 trips. I open every box and search every casualty, and got 6 sulfer. Dried forest isn't much better 4 trips, 12 maps, I got 11.
I'll just have to continue going back and forth. Sooner or later, it will start giving it up. 🤷

Just finished a trip to the iron mine/3 maps, cleared completely, and got 1 sulfer.
No problem, I'll just keep grinding until it gives it up.

VIP doesn't play the role in amount of sulphur/gunpowder you get (might feel faster, because of double speed farming), in alliance you might get more powder if doing raids.

As of the tier, I would say that distribution in the wild is different from tier to tier. It is understandable that T2 would get less than t7 player for example, but T5 should have relatively enough of it across the Westland world. Try not to farm only sulphur/gunpowder as you probably gonna feel frustrated due to small amounts found. Try all advices from above and as you said, eventually it will start giving up.

One thing you might also try is frequently changing farming locations. Meaning, don't just run between the two. In cotton plains you have three relatively close - ash grove, plateau and mine. If you are on mining spree try reseting it with plateu/grove. Like this: mine-plateau-mine-plateu-ash-interfluve-ash-interfluve-ash-plateu-mine-trader-mine-trader, while only opening chests in ash, but pick in plateau/mine...

One additional thing to note is some days will be better, some will be worse. In my example I yesterday mined iron mine (I filled two full chests in Winter outpost) - I got less then 10 gunpowder and if remember correctly only 1 sulphur. I also did some fishing in the last 3-4 days and only caught 1 buffalo fish (which never happened before, I relatively easy fish 2-3). I once read an observation someone wrote here what if certain days of the week are better for fishing some arent. I don't think it is the case, but it felt like it.

Best amounts are faund in boxes of your highest tier. At least thats how it is for me.
If u t5 looking sulphur and gunpowder at iron mine,not gona find much. But in salt mine and cypress forset u find much more,with some glycerol as well.

As tier incrise,amount of gunpowder needed for gunparts incrise,until t5. After that remains 20. So all areas t5-t7 give more.
Can confirm for shure but thats how it fells for me.
