#Storage and safe on Craftsman Skills tree

In my 2nd acct I keep thinking how terrible my storage is. I don't recall it being so in my main acct. Then I realized that 6 chests are split into 2 skills at lvl 35 and lvl 70.

I don't think the storage problem is just loss of chests. Part of my storage issue is that storage is packed with t2 items I can't dismantle because to upgrade the dismantle bench to lvl 2 it needs t3 rss.

T3 rss that I can't trade for.

Even if I had the books, I could only unlock t2 trading.

However... I can now build a safe. Except I can't. Because it not only needs t3 rss, it needs craftable items from lvl 3 benches that can't be upgraded without t3 rss. Oh, and not to mention that benches would just be getting upgraded to lvl 2 at the start of lvl 35.

So I was trying to think of solutions that wouldn't change the balance too much.

⚒️ Dismantle • allow each lvl of dismantle bench to be built with the same tier of rss as it is meant to dismantle. The amt and type of rss could be scaled to compensate but it should be possible to complete in the highest tier open

🤝 Trading • remove +1 trade off the skills tree. At lvl 35 a one time "unlock +1 tier trading" skill can be learned. Trading can then be tied to tier progression.

ws_safe Safe • Swap safe skill with +3 chests in lvl 35 section, this swap makes safes more optional 🔄 better yet • move safe entirely out of lvl 35 section from the proposed +3 chest skill spot to the rss gathering speed skill in lvl 70.

🪙 Trade skills • Replace. Example at lvl 70 have a discount on trading (-1 item) or a limit increase (ie 20 per day to 25 per day)

🧰 Storage • Replace trade skills in Lvl 90, 110 and 120 to increase storage capacity such as +5 for items that stack to 20 and +10 for items that stack to 100

Other frequent asks: stacking meats and other possible ingredients to 100. Letting all event items like horse stuff stack.

Thank you for considering

Thank you, getting this feedback from someone simultaneously playing high level and low level accounts is very helpful.

This will go in my report 🫡

I'll check back before the week is up as well, in case others have helpful suggestions to add on this subject.

My addition: bandit stash maps should stack by tier also, it would help with storage issues. I have 25 that I can't collect on yet just because I have nowhere to put the loot.

"Lucky Deal" is the worst skill of all. Not only does it cripple the simple progression of every player, but it also forces you to choose a path in the skill tree. Something like this should never have been considered a skill in the first place.

Several players, including myself, have asked for it to be changed. But the devs seemed more urgent in changing the skill for getting Tier 7 horses, just because four veterans started complaining.

Because it takes so many seperate skills on the tree to unlock trading up for resources in town, I've abandoned them altogether, as having just one or two of those trade skills wouldn't do anything for my tier at all. I believe the intent behind this was to have a player choose between farming ALOT in lower resource areas and trading up, or choose smaller gains in higher tier areas. However, with exactly what you've said already, this is a very flawed system that doesn't work, especially for low level players. For me, it's a pain in the rear not being able to trade my 400+ count of leather or ore for a higher tier in town BUT, at least I'm in the position (level 117) to be able to go fight in higher tier zones to acquire resources at a severely slower rate.
Also, I understand that the principle issue here was about storage, however, these as most things now, are fatally tied together, unfortunately.

Yeah i rolled them up together for a reason plus the placement of the safe, combined with the fact you cant make the safe at that point, or upgrade dismantle.

I was trying to remember what each lvl needed iirc its +1 tier all the way up to t4... but then its like double the ask of t5 stuff at t5 because likely t5 was the max at the time.

Anyway i figured if t5 thru 7 uses that tier's rss then there was no reason to do it at lower tiers.

I still think trading skills, if kept in the tree, should be "unlocks that tier" rather than "unlocks+1 tier" so players can choose which trading tiers they want unlocked and/or choose to only have their current tier unlocked and not have to sacrifice other important skills on the tree to be able to trade.
Re safes: It's not relevant to me, but I agree that if it's a skill it should be later on, swapped with other +chest skills. No sense having it as a skill if players at that level can't build it.
