British Columbia+Washington state/Oregon (Canada and America respectively)
you've got coastal temperate rainforests with lots of trees, grasslands, a bit of mountain, and a lot of coast and islands.

It could have mostly mainland locations and one or two islands (have to build a small boat to get to them?)

for animals:
sea wolves in BC
spirit bears also in BC

This suggeston from Velo is realy nice.
I also have like 2 suggestions.
It coud also be an Africa Safari advanture. Bettwen Marshland and Rio territory.
Like u have to build a boat first, somthing like steam boat repair but only sale big boat with a lot of planks and clothes, fasteners for hull and sales needed to repair.
There coud be rinos, lions, elephants and hina istade of wolfes.
Bandits coud be natives that use spears, knifes, and bows with poison darts,so armor woud give some protection on poison. And there coud be venom snakes.
Gand leaders woud use muskets with a lot of damage but slower guns like Aurora musket.
New currencu coud be intredused like daimonts that woud be needed for t8 upgrades and tubes along the gold.

Secund suggestion is if u wona go north,North pole conquest adventure. Realy cold area with polar bears, polar wolfes, seals, and esqimo native people. They weapons coud couse freeze&bleed effect, but food and armor woud also offer some protection.
U woud have to build like big dog sled again with t7 materials. Etc.
Higher tier guard dogs shoud be intruduced as pets any way,to buy with silver at nick bumpo,or for mony.

I am really hoping that it would be something by the sea with Seal, sea lion...
Or a tropical place plus an island (with a bridge to repair) and some palm trees.

It is hard to say because we covered already the mains big predators or North America.

There are some at locations, but can not be interact.
Consider an eagle, that woud have a 1st main skill an Eagle eye.
Giving his owner viwe like with binoculars.
It woud attack fast,big damage,low hp.🤠🦅

Actualy its not originaly my idea. It was an old surivivel game that I played on PC long ago as a kid.
Cant rember the name.
You woud lunch a hawk,or eagle dont remember what bird exactly it was.
U lunch it from your sholder, and it reviels area around.
U have limited amount of lunching per location like 10.
There was tipe of scenario in that game thats not in this game.
An ambush.
U coud get ambused by 2,3 or more mobs.
But there was no sponing outside of map.
Eagle woud revial ambush early on,so u ambush tham!
Haha😅

Skill tree 125+ should introduce swimming if we were to hunt for seal/whales.
