Gold for steamboat? Alliance or not?

Hello, I am wondering what would be the best/quickest: exchanging gold at the market or have an alliance to mine gold?
Also how much gold is needed after we got the steamboat?

Be in an alliance. Trading for gold nuggets is a waste of resources.

Current recommendation for alliances is to go in a solo. As in, save up 5k silver and be alone in your alliance. Best gold production in the game for very little effort/investment

After the big update, I wouldn't say this is accurate.
My alliance members get between 40 and 60 gold nuggets/day just from raiding. Besides that, you can get a bunch of repair kits which is quite useful. Third but not last, if you get into the right alliance, the gaming experience becomes much much better along your new alliance buddies

Yes... To buy epic blueprints, vaccines for T6 (if you like) and some rare blueprints.

Also to trade modules apparently... I guess I will have to create my own alliance then... Starting to save my coins then 🙂
