I have four fields and each day I get 240 corns from the field

I use pumpkins to feed horses

And wheat

I use corn for alcohol only

getting the maple logs ( tier 4) is hard

sadly don't have seeds even the 60 for wheat
so I only grow corn till now in my 2 fileds will eventually move to better feed

You have to update to beans and cabbage. Also I keep my horses to three. I finally got it up to 100%.

I have more than enough food,ie,over 10 days of food for them and also for the hen farm

also why keep only upto 3?I am lv 67 and have 5 horses
the more horse the more horse energy u get.......
and breeding daily gives u extra 250 horse energy
like I have 5 horses, so I make 5x50+ 250 = 500 horse enrgy daily from the stable alone
