why recrafting items from scratch to increase blueprint level?

So if we were to make a deputy backpack at bp lvl 4 because the lvl 5 bp is taking too long, we will have to make the backpacks from the very scrath to make the bp lvl 5 bp when we get its print, its kinda annoying thay we cant upgrade the bp level after achieving it by simply putting the required resources for that specific backpack instead of all the way from start.

Yes it's so annoying, so, you have to wait until your blueprint become 5 and then craft it
