Howdy. This is debuff that appears when you didn't drink anything for more than 25 hours. Drink anything and it will disappear!
The old thirst worked absolutely in other way. When it came to zero, you started loosing HP fast and could even die.
Now there is no death from hunger and thirst. So that's the difference!
