Basically, if you get top 4, you gain rating. If you get bottom 4, you lose rating, REGARDLESS if you have lower rating than others. (Of course, you can't see it until Plat league)

In the old version of MP in A9, everyone but the last 2. 7th place stays where you are, while 8th place only reduces by 1.
