@vapid prawn For your first question, y-e-s... there's many strategies to "not let your car go 'ka-boom'", but they're mostly learned through experience, and are sometimes unique per-person, since everyone has their unique understanding of how to counter against "attacking" rivals.
[TL;DR 👇]
For me personally, it all comes down to observation and anticipation/prediction, combined with perception (and learned experience). First, I observe how "hostile" everyone is at the start of a race, and if I determine them as hostile, things get complicated - I can either attempt to make a clean pass (saves total lap time; more preferred) or attempt to eliminate him/her [preferably without 360s - it's a sign of poor sportsmanship]. If s/he doesn't anticipate my overtake, I make a clean pass. Otherwise, I attempt to trick him/her into KD'ing (some people commonly 360 for KDs) me by feigning an attack, then I make the move and knock him/her down via Shockwave.
(PS: Some high-performance Clubs also enact a "no-360" rule, meaning that they are not allowed to 360 allies or other players - you should be able to identify them; might vary per platform.)

Yep... that's the mentality of most people who race in Multiplayer - even if you give them space to pass, they knock you down anyway. Try and learn how to counter/defend yourself once they strike (for example, Shockwave if they try to tackle you - it should defend you against their attack and maybe score you some Nitro back) - it saves you time rather than going on the offense 😉

That’s because you need to turn in the direction you want to spin into, It’s the timing that’s crucial, I know it is tricky and easy to make mistakes with jesko, In your case with a controller you have to turn to the right and then start spinning quickly in order to land exactly in line for taking the next barrel ramp.

The Cobra team has to be the dirtiest team on iOS. I go back to watch their races after the race is over and I see them try to push opponents into the wall, doing ground 360, pushing opponents off ramps and so on. Absolutely ridiculous.
