@onyx hare it has been clarified from GL that bad connection aka "red car" can make you see things that doesn't happen in real time, like teleporting, crashing, riding on impossible surfaces, doing impossible stunts etc, while on the said persons screen everything is perfectly fine, hence it's marked as not hacking but latency issues. Not even gonna mention the fact that there's no such thing as teleport hack in this game

What I will say though, GL needs to do something about bad connection players ramming other players and slowing them down. It's really unfair @vague saffron

Actually both are at fault
As seen from the 'teleporting' of the acceleration hackers
I saw one of them livestreaming and I got to snipe him, he of course 'teleported' ahead of everyone and used nitro hacks but on his side he wasn't teleporting on his screen
server cannot track the player as that wasn't supposed to happen
So it renders it as 'teleport'
Same with those 'ghost hack' and the kind, hackers just go through you because that's not supposed to happen and servers can't track the hacker

And that's when the 'desync ramming' happens

That's because there are 2 types of "desync issues"
1: Genuine desync/connection issues that offer little advantage other than ghosting of your car. (I've experienced these myself on a number of occasions)
- Intentional, instigated modding/hacking of the syncing system that offers many advantages and flicked on and off when players choose to gain an advantage.
Both present the 'red car' symptoms
