My device has lag spikes at the beginning of most races, which puts everyone ahead of me in mp. Mp for me is literally a game of catch up. I usually can’t get past 3rd or 4th

(TL:DR - When you finish a race, your client has to send the "Race Finished" signal along with your finishing time to the servers. In this case, your rival's signal and finishing time has reached the servers first, even though you came first, likely due to either latency, geolocation, or just random #PotatoServers moments. This sometimes happens with connections with 350-500ms... like I do 🙃 )

On my iOS device over the past few days in MP Platinum , I've noticed a player called "Successful" who is a member of the Carnival team, trundling around tracks in a Mitsubushi Lancer like they're out on an easy Sunday afternoon in a driverless car with the kids in the back. The player's rating is very low for Platinum and they've always finished last by a very long way. What gives? What is the point of this behaviour? Is it a bot that has gone wrong?
