I’ve reached 2 top 100s, and overall, I was pretty successful as a F2P player."

The Chiron event fiasco in December had already turned a lot of players away because of the curveball of them requiring 2 cars with no way of unlocking it for free without shelling tokens for packs. The Regera event saw a light of hope because this time, we get to unlock another car for free. But the Huracan event as of recent is pretty unreasonable. As much as this event is supposed to be less demanding (which is probably is in the earlier parts), required ranks at the later parts are a pain. You could think that you’ll get the epic parts you need during the epic hunt event, but it’s a lie. I could get 3 or more epics for one car and have zero on the other. And even your assurances that “the RNG god will smile at you” are utterly useless in trying to convince us of this unreasonable excuse of an event.
There is still a question in my mind that I need to answer: ”Why would you stay there when things are getting worse?” I had faith that this game could be better. But the hope had never reached my expectations. I wouldn’t know if one day, it’ll be inevitable that I’ll quit this game myself, given how I was on the edge of quitting many times. I could have quit during the Chiron event. I could have done it on the Regera event. I could have quit during the Huracan event. And could I quit in the future?
In the end, I wanted to quit because I just couldn’t see the future in A9 anymore. It’s a shame that Gameloft has to be quite greedy to the point it’s driving more players away from a game people would enjoy. It’s already enough that I was forced into some burnout, I couldn’t risk another one with my college coming soon, given how I’ve struggled to balance between coursework, art and this. To decide on quitting is no easy question to ask; it’s all in my head in this decision."
