Bad internet players get more preference over good internet one. Someone will keep blinking throughout the race and he'll not disconnect. . . and I'll have a little network disturbance I'll get out of the race immediately.

@thick isle Indeed, they should make the keys customizable. Meanwhile I wrote an Autohotkey script so I can use different keys (my config: Num1 = left, Num2 = right, z = brake/360, x = nitro; basically I steer the car with the right hand and use nitro or brake with the left hand). It can be done.

@thick isle Not at all. If there is a delay it must be very small. It's like they're the actual keys of the game. Basically this script intercepts the key you're pressing (e.g. x) and sends the real key (e.g. space) to the game.
@modest canopy hi, windows update will cause system unstable and crashes on a lot of apps, you should try reinstalling windows with older revision and stick with it

After installed i found that my graphics drivers are all gone then i installed a current driver and some set up like background and color.... Then opened xbox live to see my login info.... It was ok... Then i restarted and clean temp filess... Then i opened A9...

Every time I play an ad it is 'Candy Crush Saga', which would be irrelevant except it opens my browser every time, to a 'server not found' error message. This is unwieldly awkward & sometimes the game closes so I don't get the benefit of whatever the ad is played for. Here is a SS of the error message on my browser. It surely isn't a purposely scripted part of the ad & leads to less A9 play time.

I'm very near to close A9 because of the many gamecrashes, after 3 or 4 races, my picture freezes and the game closes, I tried already everything, new start from windows 10, updated drivers from graphic card, increased the virtual memory, reinstalled the game, nothing helps, I don't know it anymore, I've got an MSI GT60 laptop, cpu I7 4800MQ and geforce GTX 870M as graphiccard. Anyone suggestion?

@fallen shale I haven't seen the Candy Crush ad yet in A9, but I did have it today in MC5 & it would not close at the end of the ad. I had to X out of the game to get it to go away. I didn't get a forced tab open like you did & I did let Gameloft know of these 2 issues on Windows with this ad group.

in my visual setting i only used the 100% resolution and the 60 fps option, all the other options are off.
when the Caribbean update had arrived i experience some lag when the car was on the sand, to reduce the lag i had to decrease the resolution to 80%, after some time (maybe a month) i noticed that the lag has gone i was able to change the resolution back to 100% and i also enabled reflections and had no problems with frame rate, i have been using 100% resolution, 60 fps and reflections since them and now with this new update the lag on the sand has come back and i had to change my resolution again back to 80% to reduce the lag.
i have revert the visual settings to default and even reinstalled the game and nothing has changed

then when they released it, they only fixed nitro flames bug
shadows bug and washed out blur remained
I can only recommend you to not use the AA mode as GL doesn't seem to be interested in putting more effort into it

Ads aren't working on Windows version, while on Android they work perfectly. I'm in the Romania region on both. And Multiplayer isn't working as intended. I barely get in a match with 1-3 other players. While on Android version, I always play with 7 other players. Windows version is literally unplayable in the state where it is right now.

I think there is a heavy bug concerning ads in Windows. But I think GL will need some days until they understand how big that bug is. And then the next question is if they take care of it or not. For me the game is broken. I can watch 10-12 ads per day and that's it. I spent 10 ads for event tickets, 1 ad for creditsx3 and 1 ad for card pack. And now it is over. No more ad. So no gas refill at all, no more card packs. It's a catastrophy right now but I really believe that GL needs some days until they understand how big that error is.
So far no moderator has shown any reaction on this ad bug although more players are complaining, it is not just me.

@stuck quarry sorry for pinging you again but as you know aperta will start tomorrow , most of Windows players will not enjoy with aperta in caribbean the reason is fps drop is massive in the beach and i did a poll in a server there are collaborated with all clubs in windows and look at the results many ppl have this issue please tell devs to investigate about that im sure and i doubt its a issue because i reduced everything to low and nothing changed while previous update we got encountred same issue but when we reduce resolution scale its fixed and then we rechange to our defaut settings and its worked please just tell devs to do that

There should be a automatic graphical settings in which if the pc performance /fps gets down it automatically lowers the graphical settings by which the fps became back to normal, and when the game reaches to safe part, it would automatically make the graphical settings high/max

@stuck quarry Yes. I did also the trick with wreset.exe to clear MS Store's cache. I have a mobile internet connection through an USB modem. Strangely enough, A9 starts if I connect my phone through USB tethering... There is clearly a bug in A9 at the init section which does the wrong checking. There is internet and it says it isn't. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this pesky problem which basically prevents me from playing the game. Please ask the devs to recheck that code.

+there is big problem in Caribbean rout.. if you can't solve it why do not remove it. too much lag and can't control car when it lag.. it look like the game is rendering in GDI mode. i have CUDA but it look like it is not using it. there is new render engine call Vulkan and it is more fast than any other render engine. i hope if you have use it this kind of problem will solve.

I don't have a LAN network and all WiFis in my area are password protected. For some reason A9 refuses to recognize an internet connection through an USB modem. It should work because those connections are managed by Windows. It's a bug in A9's init code and that causes an endless loop. It should start checking for internet in the right way and after it's initialized, not right at the start.
@stuck quarry can you try to find some wifi sources to do a quick test? maybe using your phone to share its wifi

Hi guys, we are aware of the overall lag (FPS drop), especially on Caribbean sand, on lower performance GPUs. For now, you can tune down the Graphics Settings: (1) go to Settings --> Graphics Settings, (2) set profile slider to Very Low (it still has effect, don't trust the gray-out), (3) set resolution scale to 60% and (4) turn off Full Screen. We will let you know when the issue is resolved.
UPDATE: we reduced the number of sand particles to minimum on VERY LOW, LOW and MEDIUM profiles. Please make sure it's selected (regardless of the gray-out).

This might be little bit off-topic but not that much. I want to ask every person here on discord who runs with AMD graphic card and experienced issues with bluetooth controller.
That means from certain point in time amd released new drivers and there is some very strange bug that cause bt controllers to stop working in asphalt 9
the behaviour is following. BT is connected and you running latest amd graphic drivers, Playing asphalt 9 and suddenly car will stop responding on your commands and only solution is to shut off controller and turn it on or go back with the drivers that are fine

There's something about this update, not a bug or serious issue, but when you have larger amounts of credits and tokens, the numbers start moving due to lack of space. It's a bit annoying when you want to check your resources. I think other buttons on top can get smaller so there's enough room for credits and tokens.

Come on, it's ridiculous to suggest players to reinstall Windows. A9 is full of bugs, plain and simple. For instance, this game refuses to start up if there is internet through USB modem. There is a message error about no internet when the internet is actually working. I can't start A9 because of this dumb bug. Still not fixed months later.

Here is a basic layout of the internet. Just because you can access some websites & not others, doesn't necessarily mean the problem lies with the website you can't access. Anywhere along this route there could be a data block, bandwidth overload.... any number of ways your connection could fail or see excessive latency (lag) & errors could occur.

@split dome I know that. But when A9 refuses to start because of lack of internet while the internet is working, the problem is not on my side. Anything else on my computer depending on the internet works, why not this game? Perhaps it has a buggy init section. It works only sometimes (I couldn't find a pattern when it works) or if I use my phone as a WiFi hotspot. Others have the same issue. e.g. redditDOTcom/r/Asphalt9/comments/a1agqj/game_wont_connect_to_servers_windows_10/
Please, ask the devs to check out the code again.

@stuck quarry In our club we experience big differences in drop rates for the Targa in its car hunt. While some players have a drop rate of 15 % or even higher we also have members that have a drop rate of 7 % or even lower. This big unfairness must be a bug, isn't it? We are speaking of 100 races with the BMW, not only a few races. With 100 BMW races and thus 200 cards there shouldn't be such big differences in drop rates. I am a mathematician but also if I were not I am convinced that with n=200 (speaking mathematically) the spread must not be that big.

@bitter bluff it's not a bug or issue. Players were losing rewards for not claiming them in time before they expired. Gameloft extended the time for players to claim rewards. It will still show a reward to claim until the time expires even after you have claimed that reward.

@maiden horizon nope! it's not, that car has even lower max rank than Avantador J but 570s can go 6* and Avantador J can go only till 5* at max. . . . requiring more bps to max without a reason. . . such a waste trick by GL, low rank car with lower stats needs more bps and more than 2 times credits to max than Avantador J.

I had that happen to me once . Lobby showed 4 racers & once the race actually started they dropped off immediately & race was over like 1 second after the cars started rolling after the countdown ended.

@stuck quarry At 1080p res i could easily get 240. At 3440x1440 (my monitor) i should be able to get at least 120. It is hard to tell exactly because Afterburner cannot recognize Asphalt and enable overlay.
Also i will soon be upgrading my PC which should be able to run 4k at 200 FPS.
It is a mobile game after all.

pretty recently my game started getting worse and worse in terms of performance. the game is starting to stutter a lot, keeps freezing at certain events (kds, broken obstacles, nitro, landing from fall). i cant be for sure if this is the game or my pc. ive looked back on recordings of past gameplay clips and everything seemed fine, the newer ones however keep cutting out sound, freeze (same reasons as before) and worse fps. should i reinstall the game completely, clear cache somewhere, etc.? i can send example videos if needed

@stuck quarry There is no doubt that after recent update game has become too dull. . . significant fps drop and "no more ads" have become common these days, on the other hand, cross server match making isn't going well in mp as 4-5 people gets server error simultaneously, most of the mp races finishes with more than half of the lobby showing very bad internet connection. . . what's the use of that message showing "Looking for players and location?" why location if matching is going to take place with cross servers, it'll surely show bad connection to either of the player.
About ads as claimed by @humble crow , just try playing a song on discord via any bot (or any other application which uses UDP connection) and then try to access an ad in A9, you'll clearly notice a huge disturbance in the songs before the ads load. . .
These problems were not that significant during obsolete updates but recent update, looks like gave a flame to all the bugs of the game.

@thick isle location refers to the map the players will race on in that event. When that message pops up, the game is going through it's unexplainable matchmaking algorithms to locate players to race against & deciding which map we all are eventually going to compete in.

It's easier to optimize for IOS cause they have only few configurations for there devices. It's a lot harder to make it on Android cause there are 100 different brands that all have 10 different models on there line up. For PC it's even harder cause PC can be 10 years old to run this game even. Now think of all the graphics cards fron Nvidia and AMD that pretty much make new graphics cards every year. Same with CPU from Intel and AMD there are just so many of them. And then everything. For every graphics card there are like 10 different brands that do them and have different clock speed or even architecture of there cards. And well of curse mother boards and RAM that can be from 4GB to 64GB or even higher and either it's DDR2, DDR3 or the latest DDR4. Soon will be DDR5 too. Run the game from SSD or HDD. What windows version you have and so on and on.

i mean currently we respawn before the ramp so that after jumping along distance we won't be in last position...
And there is no nitro charge for destroying obstacle?
