Well, windows can have bad behaviour sometimes when you use it for quite long time, so that clean install sometimes makes things fresh again
Especially when it comes the new windows 10 build.
I'm fine with the new UI. it seems better after all.

Over on the Subreddit Discord there's reports of users not getting the daily combo rewards shown.
One user had x5 Asterion BPs shown but got 15 Tokens instead.
Not sure if that's just platform specific but seems like a bug that should be fixed.

When you are using window mode on A9 (on windows) and you click on starting a race and you start using other thing (like for example discord), the race will load and everything, but when you start doing it, you wont have any kind og engine sound

Mine notebook is quite low-end but it still new : i3, 4Gb, Gf940MX, SSD. Before update I had absolutely no problems. Now I got serious problems in races - sometimes picture freezes for whole second, making it absolutely unplayable. Lowering setting (automatically all was turned on except anti-aliasing) helps a little, but game freezes. So I'm going to stop playing for some time...

@unique hound the event viewer is a built in windows program that is used to view events that have been reported on your system. like let's say that a windows apps crashes it will be reported in the event viewer so that the end user can see what happened. you shouldn't have to worry because if you were experiencing the exact same issue as I was then I was just informed that the A9 Team has found the issue and are working to resolve it.

I have frequent appcrashes which point to user32.dll but there is no crashdump generated even after crashing after adding the reg key from GL employee

@sinful mason I looked it up and it appears that User32.dll is a windows dll for handling messages, timers, menus, and communications. so it might be that your copy of windows might be getting corrupted. please go to run command prompt as administrator and type in "Sfc/scannow" and if there are any errors windows will repair the problematic windows files.

if many files are affected it's rather better to roll back the whole thing. They can roll in updates only but if one file is corrupted and you report game crashing it's a setback for them trying to debug your update issues than fix crashes on the whole package.

1)Make sure you configured your xbox account that comes with your microsoft account (Sometimes, you need to make a gamertag first or it won't work)

sound issue:when you play A9 for about 15 mins, you can't hear any sound when you get nitro bottle, then nitro sound, drifting, and eventually you could only hear BGM

this is a common issue. but since the sound doesn't affect gameplay it isn't that high on there priority list of things that need fixing.

the sound issue has been around ever since launch.
but the most common one is when all sounds for the vehicles just stop.
Jesse Owen noted that the issue happens on Android and IOS as well.
I haven't experienced the sound issue lately though so it could be possible that they fixed some of the sound issues but it seems like with him it still happens.

but the problem with it was that it is a bug with the sound code itself that fails to engage the vehicle sounds.
so all you would hear is the music, nitrous pickup sound, and the tire skid sounds.

@valid sandal I already use Nvidia GeForce Experience (NGE) on Win10 v1709 on Dell Inspiron 14R to update it but it keeps crashing on launch. So I uninstall NGE and update driver via Windows Update and works fine.

@dim creek Only updating the driver via Nvidia Geforce Experience app cause crash at lauch than updating driver via Windows Update that seems no crash at all at launch. I'm using Win10 v1709 in this case.
After all I can't update to the later version of Windows since the driver problems on Dell Inspiron 14R and stuck and auto shutdown on 75% since upgrading to the later version of Windows due to driver problems.

The game was running fine before the update, after update it got very choppy at certain spots of certain maps, the hotfix did help but it's still not solved

So when I first launched my game, my game was in French. I since then changed the language to English so I can understand better when trying to give tips and info to other people. But since the new update, the game is still in English, but I get French pop ups.

I have an issue when Asphalt check Xbox live previlages when I first open the game. The message "Checking Xbox Live previlages" shows up but never closes. I should guess when it finished checking then I click the X to close the message.

So I've been basically unable to play the game in the past few days due to massive framerate drops in everything I play. And when I tried to play in multiplayer, I kept getting lag starts, and that made me lose around 100 rank in about 6 races. I really want to know if there is a way to fix that.

Hey everyone, I am experiencing annoying freezing in mp. It's not like the frames go down(frame drop), it's a proper freeze for a split of a second or even more then a second. I have nothing running in the background, only a doc opened and chrome. I'm running an Xeon X3470 clocked at 3.8Ghz, 16Gb of ram and a 1070ti; I have ran a stress test on hardware and nothing came up, everything is in specs and temps are below 45.
Is there anyone having the same issue?

ads in chrome can take 30-40% processor and tear up your disk activity, it is likely that you are hitting 100% processor or Disk activity

if in windows 10, press winkey + G and on the right is the game mode option. It allows better performance if your device is struggliing

hey everyone, thank's for the quick replies. All opened chrome tabs are work related and do not have any ads on them. All chrome tabs are taking 16-20% CPU capacity and about 6GB of RAM. I don't think is the hard-disk either as I am running Windows from an SSD.
The odd thing is that those freezes occur only in MP. I don't have the same issue in Events or Career.

this may be only at low-performance computers at one particular race at shanghai,theres this bug if you were to play w/o using fullscreen option,there's a possibility your car goes flashing (if you were out of focus,aka pressing the taskbar)

The game doesn't start, no matter what if reboot my internet or not, it shows me the Error 6 and Error 2.

Looks like Asphalt Team already started encrypted files on v1.1.301.2 since I take ownership on WindowsApps folder and look at it to make sure it is an encrypted state. Thus preventing hackers from modifying. But some are not protected. Which is why on some multiplayer events, like Evolution Series, they use speed hacks to get the lead first, which I wonder how hacker breakthrough this.

Hello!
Recently, I've been unsatisfied with amount of cheaters & game alterators which ruined the entire gameplay for me. The past few weeks have been a pain on A9 with people cheating their way to the top.
As much as I had some great stats, I was sick of people bringing my rank down in multiplayer leagues by them finishing the race under 5 seconds. -40 ranking every single time, no matter how hard I try.
I ran across a program on the internet which gives out infinite nitro and I used it!
Not thinking of consequences, I did a couple of races on multiplayer and now, I've received a 7-day ban note from GAMELOFT and it says that "I incur the penalty of having my progress reset."
Does this mean my progress is getting wiped out entirely or I'm just getting a 7-day ban as a warning? It doesn't matter if I have to start over cause obviously, this was against the system. Kinda dissapointed that a few MP races ruined my actual legitimate progress, but this gave me a lesson!

I'm not sure this is an asphalt 9 or windows problem. My windows 10 game dvr can record 30-60fps gameplay video while recording fortnite but only 15fps when recording asphalt 9. And we all know that fortnite is heavier than asphalt 9

@tired sandal just because the signal at your router looks fine, doesn't mean that the connection is still stable when the handshake is done between your ISP & the game servers. That is like saying your engine is fine & you cant figure why car drives funny when you try driving with 4 flat tires

Well is not ASDL whit the phone line connection. whit the more people are connected the slower the connection is. and the computer is brand new also. Heck its could be Xbox live to be the problem, every time i start the computer, and start the game it wont connect to the Xbox live, i have to reconnect my VPN and restart the game to make it work. But still time to time i have connection issues whit the game. If it was my internet i would be able to browse the internet at the same time. And i also updated all of my drivers just in case.

If you use ReadyBoost on Windows with USB drive with caching turned on, it's also make the game crash since the files for this game is encrypted. I also experience this issue but in different situation.

@gusty tiger Well, for me, it also a problem because of pagefile, corrupted file system, Readyboost cache, or some tweaks you apply via third party optimization programs. That's all I know that cause this problem.
Have you reset an app to default because sometimes it fix the problem.

- Get into the settings of your Xbox account (via xbox.com)
- enter the settings, and look for privacy & online safety
- Make sure to select "everybody" under "others can communicate with vocie, text or invites"

@pale sinew Well, I'll, tell you one thing. They are hard to reach. Especially the GL guys. The game developers are here, but they aren't responsible for the online features as well. Only for in-game issues regarding the platforms and stuff. The servers belong to GL, so the anticheat system is their responsibility. I was unable to reach them. If you have a better luck, I hope they get back with some answers to you!

If you alt+tab while the game is loading into a race (career and events mostly) then the car engine sounds will be muted.
