Furthermore, on J5 there is no "Performance Quality" setting but only "Default".

If I start the phone and the game with USB keyboard attached it works as keyboard, but this is far from usable.

@compact ember I'm getting very consistent crashes with the ads, and it seems like it's the game itself can't handle it, ads run fine now but halfway through the game itself will freeze and the ads cannot be interacted with.
Over the span of the standard 8 ads of refueling an A-class car it crashed 5 times, so I watched a total of 13 times to get it refueled
so yeah the game crashed before it could register the ads were finished playing
oh yeah forgot, Galaxy Note Fan Edition, Exynos 8890, Android 8.0, ID #49115
sent a lot of feedback tickets with the logs included, not sure did they reached to you

The fancy schmancy reflections are too much for most of us, we want an option to fine-tune graphics settings so we can get a stable framerate and keep the game looking decent.
The stock Performance setting is still very pretty but we can go lower

So, I searched the chat looking for some information on the android touch drive issues that seem to plague so many players devices.
Whenever I swipe left the brake button is also activated and whenever I swipe right the nitro button is always activated. I use manual but like touch for tedious stuff like unleashed event, etc.
Is there even an explanation as to why this issue happens on so many Android devices, why gameloft doesn't appear to have officially acknowledged the issue and why the issue exists in the first place? I mean, it appears literally 80% or more players on Android have this issue. How can a game be released like this without the touch drive control scheme working properly?
We've had a number of updates to the game already, why hasn't the issue been fixed yet? Will it ever be fixed?

android has "half steering" like A8 or AX low devices had
but I cannot figure out what the reason is, even if I try to tweak settings
it may happen that high android devices are affected too, but seeing gameplay videos I am not sure
so if I press steering on my Z3 compact or in BlueStacks, tap to steer or keyboard:
- there is a slight delay before detecting keypress
- steering radius is half of Windows
which results in mistakes and speed loss

@tawdry flare Apologies, I haven't been able to record the touch drive issue on android quite yet.
@smoky tiger I've heard of this on android. that users report testing and they go slower on android when turning or they go slower using manual than touch drive around turns for whatever reason. One person even said that when they lowered their sensitivty -below- 50% he was able to take turns faster and apparently he did a good job at doing the same line on the track for testing purposes
I feel like I can't turn very well in A9 on android with tap. I feel like the handling isn't very responsive and when I watch videos I feel like users are able to take turns far faster than me, especially say ROMA/ROME or a track of this nature, where their are a couple of short quick sharp angled turns.
however, I have a samsung galaxy s7 and ASL Kara has an S7 Edge. he says he uses tap with 50% sensitivity and well, he's part of ASL Team and in top 100/50 all day
I can take those turns but wow I have to plan very far ahead to be able to make it, and of course take the turn properly for the given speed (apex I suppose). I think I'm not starting wide enough much of the time for turns.
Anyway, I think it's in my head and it's the physics of the game because there can't be that much differnce from s7 and s7 edge can there. Except maybe it's a different variant of device.
Also, my times are literally better with touch drive usually, which makes me suspsicious.

so that's darn strange because others are able to get times of anywhere from 4 seconds better or something when using manual.
I should take some records and check the exact speed of the vehicle at certain frames. A good example is midwest variant grabbing the 3 nitro bottles and taking the snake turn right before the ramp to the tracks.
i swear touch drive seems faster there and on roma for those turns turning the section of track that's split into 3 sections/paths.
it's as if touch drive is able to react quicker, canceling that delay when first pressing left or right.
I will add that it does seem like I can take turns a bit tighter once I have nitro activated, which appears to be the case with touch drive as well.
tracks like shanghai nanjing stroll around that s bend is notoriously difficult also. I watch videos and people take that relatively easily for the most part.
Granted, you do have to use the sidewalk or whatever textures there to be able to take the turn as tight ly as possible.

anyone know what sensitivity seems to match Touch Drives "sensitivity", or does TD seem to defy the gaming physics because I swear turns can be taken faster with Touch Drive, at least on Android
If I use 50 sensitivity for manual then switch to touch drive, touch drive is much better at handling turns
same with 70 even hehe

perfect example would be final turn on the Porsche Unleashed event at The Cave
well I suppose not always, and touch drive does seem to go wider left for a moment before starting the turn.

That's not an issue ( it should be reformed and posted in suggestions ) but I still agree with him at some point, sometimes you can somehow play with all better cars and once the race starts they all just go faster than you ( maybe even take you down ) and you won't have a chance even with nitro. Well, that is possible and OK, but losing points after getting beaten by better players ain't fair, they get an easy win while you get nothing.
It should be balanced somehow so everyone can have a chance in every race to be the first, that would be considered a "challenge" then, not guaranteed losing.
