@here We're ready to go! @narrow vine fire at will 😄
Q: Will the MP2 Team Mode get improvements? (I mean it's kind of useless like even if you finished on bad position but your team won it, you're rating points still get dropped.)
A: Yes, with every update—whether small or big—we’re always trying new things in multiplayer in general. It will take time, but we’ll keep working on it as a team. We’ll be testing a new mode soon, and in the future, we’ll also look into other aspects, such as more balancing.
Q: Even if it's not the Clash, it would be great to have a mode in which collaboration between members of the team was necessary. Do you guys have something in mind?
A: Yes, we're aiming to release a feature in Q4 this year that will reward players in Clubs for meeting certain conditions. We’ll try not to gate this behind requirements like having a full Club or a specific Garage Level. Instead, if you’re participating, that’s great—and if you contribute more, you’ll be rewarded accordingly. It will not be hardcore like the Clash.
Q: Will the Garage skins from A9 China will come to ALU? (like: Skyscraper, Phonk, Asphalt 8 garage and more) also the cut garages from asphalt 9 concept arts would be more sick and extend selection for garage skins feature (or idea) for ALU
A: Not very soon—it's not easy to achieve the level of quality we want to deliver from a technical point of view.
That said, we are investing time into improving Vanity. As you may know (or not), we've already removed some blockers in the game so that all players can customize their cars. We're continuing to work on this, and you'll see new updates related to Vanity in general during the Anniversary in July. Updates to the Garage will come later in the future.
Q: Can you introduce the Deathmatch game mode for MP only? It's the game mode where you have to knock down others as many as possible within time limit. Player with most knockdowns wins.
A: Together with the team, we’re designing and discussing various game modes—ranging from classic ones to new iterations. We're not ruling anything out at the moment, but we’ll evaluate whether these modes will be appealing to players.
Q: Since it really looks like things are going to get increasingly busier and full of new systems, all together…
Will any of these game modes or event formats get quickly discontinued or held for just a couple of times only to never be seen again?
A: We always evaluate all modes based on player usage and project stability. Nothing is off the table when it comes to discussion and review. As you mentioned, as we release new features, we’ll collect data and aim to follow a consistent path toward delivering the best experience we can—learning from both the successes and the mistakes we encounter along the way.
Q: I wish I could drive cars from club mates' garages. Limited cars from A & B class and limited tries like 1 tank per season; just to make MP1 Gold and Platinum leagues more fun, and to revive teamwork.
A: We don’t have this feature planned for the short term. In theory, it sounds cool to be able to pick cars from other players’ or Club members’ garages, but technically it’s quite challenging and also raises concerns around hacking—which we’re actively working to combat. So for now, we don’t see it as a feasible option.
Q: Will there ever be new season or new chapter 7 for career mode?
A: Honestly, I’d love to push for this—I'm in constant conversations with the Design team. But right now, I’d prefer we focus on another important and challenging topic related to the early game: how to make the Asphalt experience less overwhelming for new players. We're thinking about a system or feature—simple but effective—to ensure players get onboarded quickly, with a solid starter package… and our new Vanda 5.0 version ready to dominate in MP… just kidding
So I think will happen, but not soon.
Q: I m curious the statement on Carnival Rush patch notes, you said about MP Reward packs being updated per update, but as of now there seems no changes as of this update. Did something happen?
A: As I mentioned before, we're very reactive when it comes to MP changes. We've changed course since then, offering a tighter pool of cars to provide a more focused grind and hence removing the rotation of the extra cars, as they are no longer included in the pool of cars included in rewards. We'll continue to keep an active eye on all your multiplayer feedback to make sure the modes remain as rewarding and useful for progression as we can.
Q: Can we know some of the plans for the Team Pursuit rework? Like, what's the vision for the mode. Powers? More cop cars? Abilities? More maps? New rules?
A: Honestly, we haven’t had the chance to dive into this with the Design team yet. We're currently focusing our time on features and content that we need to deliver to you first. Hopefully, we’ll be able to share more information on that front later this year.
Q: Is the vanity update going to feature more bodykit packs in mp1,mp2 and team pursuit?
A: We’re currently discussing how to refresh our content strategy, including improvements to decals—but this will take some time. The specific items aren’t confirmed yet, but for example, the race requirements have already been removed. And once again, you can expect more updates related to Vanity in the next update for sure.
Q: I noticed that there is no mention of the Quest system that is mentioned 2 months ago in the recent Roadmap on GL ALU website. Any updates on it?
A: So, hear me out—the roadmap we shared (and will continue to share) is subject to change, and this item might be one of those changes.
We still have a strong commitment to updating quests and onboarding for new players, but it’s a sensitive topic, so we're planning to tackle it a bit later.
When it comes to the roadmap, our goal is to be as transparent as possible with you and gather your feedback. And if anything changes, we’ll communicate those updates—just like we’ve done before.
Q: Will you add a feature that makes you invite your in-game friends or clubmates to play together in in Multiplayer? (Specifically for team modes)
A: Not for now. The friends feature is quite costly to implement in Asphalt, especially since the game runs across platforms—from Android to PS5, and maybe even Switch 2 in the future 😉. Certifying such a system across all these platforms is complex and time-consuming, and pursuing a change like this would mean pausing a lot of other priorities. At the moment, we don’t see it as urgent—it’s more of a nice-to-have.
Q: When will Asphalt have a location with different time of day settings? variants where it's day time and others where it's night time.
A: We haven’t discussed this yet—is it something that sounds appealing to you? I’d love to hear more! Send your thoughts to Boost, please ;P
But! In the next update, we’ve got something pretty cool coming for Environments!
Q: When will we see our nearest player on that leaderboard?
A: Nope, this is expensive to do on tech side, complicated on certification and also will not add too much value on gameplay. So I don't think so.
Q: The button for club is really hidden. Plz put in a more visible position, maybe in main menu..
A: We’ll try to take a look. Unfortunately, the main menu is already quite crowded—and honestly, I’m even tempted to remove a few things from it. But we’ll definitely take it into consideration.
Q: Have you guys thinking about add a bike into ALU just like A8?
A: Not for now. I believe we still need to polish our current game, systems, and features. Honestly, I love motorcycles—I’ve ridden them in different countries—but we feel it's more important to focus on improving the core Asphalt experience, rather than adding a new element that would increase complexity, potential bugs, and systems that aren’t fully aligned with what an Asphalt fan expects.
Q: The sponsorship rewards need a revamp. The same boring choices are always there. Kindly consider this.
A: We’re thinking about this—it's connected to what I mentioned earlier about improving onboarding, so it will be part of that package. I’m not sure yet what it will look like exactly, but we should address it as a whole.
Q: Any plans to increase the base credit cap? Since the bonus for VIP pass was introduced many players now regularly exceed it during events so are only offered x3 ads. The 'bonus' given by VIP levels currently makes players overall worse off.
A: We noticed that change and we’re currently evaluating it. It’s not a bug, but we’ll need to review it carefully from a balance perspective.
