One thing I’ll always tip my hat to Madrona for is how much more player focused they are. The effort they’ve put into listening to players hasn’t gone unnoticed, and the community really appreciates it. (Ex: the black nano boost)
That said, one leftover piece of Z2-era monetization that still feels out of place is the nanopod cost to unlock additional attacks. This feels especially rough on premium units that already cost nanopods to purchase.
For example, the Brutalizer costs 70 nanopods to buy, and then after ranking it to R4, unlocking its second attack costs another 40 nanopods. So even after buying the unit, you still have to spend more premium currency just to access its full kit.
At the end of the day, people can spend their nanopods however they want, but this extra cost feels like an unnecessary carryover from the old system and doesn’t feel very player friendly.
