#Add ability to see the armies of friends

I've checked around the discord and, although it's possible I'm being blind, I don't think it's been mentioned anywhere before and I don't see it in the game atm... so here I go.

Something potentially rather simple to add, but imo a thing that I think would add to the "coopetition" of the game. I want to be able to compare the arsenal of people on my friends list so I can see what they are working with. This would be helpful to be able to make suggestions of army focus and coordinating things like future boss raids and other coop/guild events. But also besides that, it's nice to be able to see who has the more impressive army amongst friends! 😄

If it had a privacy setting to disable this, and was disabled by default, sure.

Otherwise it sounds like a great way to have guilds whip you and breathe down your neck.

Also, a big part of the game is tactics, you can have all the units you want, but if you don't use them well it won't mean much....
So unless there is a way to save unit placements in the field, it won't mean an awful lot... Even then placement and positioning can and should change depending upon the enemies you are facing.

I just question how much value someone would even get out of this.
You will see the typical Wimps and Tanks being leveled, some will have absurd quantities. If you view someone F2P, you will see less, if you view a whale/mammoth, you will likely see they are using units you are unlikely to ever spend your Nanos on...

I suppose it's coming from the perspective of having a friend group that has recently started playing. As you all progress through the game and start building up your armies, I would find it neat to be able to see and compare that progression. As well as that, if there is an upcoming boss event that a small guild wants to take on, knowing what your fellow guild members have to work with to take on the event can help you to gauge whether it's worth investing the time and units that time around to get the rewards on offer.

I kinda see it similar to being able to compare your stats to others in an mmo or something similar

Sure... But how often do people actually use that in MMOs?
Its one of those features that people usually only turn to on a whim, due to boredom or spontaneous curiosity.
It might matter more if PVP were integrated, but even then the unit limit is a massive equalizer.
It feels like a lot of work for too little return in my opinion. Though I can understand why it'd be desirable from a more social perspective.

I would have thought fairly frequently tbh. People check out other player’s builds somewhat frequently, especially on their first runs. That’s from my experience anyway. I know there’s not exactly the same kind of build diversity compared to an mmo, but it’s the same principle of checking out what everyone is producing.
It’s for sure just a side feature, but tbh I assume it would be so simple to add that it would just be a neat casual/social QoL feature, rather than some big meta enabling capability

Gotta be honest with you not really

Someone with a better army is gonna win about 95% of the time

Mostly this would be used by guilds to make sure players are complying with grinding rules and that they understand what units should be mass trained
