Lung's https://discord.com/channels/463817609130016788/1386501851737751653 and ExperimentM's https://discord.com/channels/463817609130016788/1401664971141550120 posts made me realize that:
- Existing game models can be kit bashed together to make something new.
- There really aren't many options for non-Nanopod houses.
While there's probably a dozen different and better ideas (like letting us build things from places like Trotbeck and New Haven), I think adding container houses could be a viable design/theme that can be slotted in between the Scrap House (Lvl. 14) and the Modern House/Duplex (Lvl. 34 and 35). The idea came from how people converted shipping containers to houses or buying purposed-built ones.
Gameplay wise, it would be an upgrade from the Scrap House in terms of Gold/XP reward, need a bit of T2 resources to construct, and generally increase the options for those who don't want to use Nanopod for housing (especially before unlocking the modern stuff).
Though I did model these, I referenced a bunch of different things from the game (i.e. cargo containers from Port City, windows from the Suburban House, campfire from Shelter, you get the idea).
