Unit idea: a platform that allows land units to take part in naval battles. Fairly cheap to manifacture at a dry dock, yet counts as a separate unit, so it's balanced, because you're exchanging 2 potential naval units for 1 ground unit. Doesn't have HP - if the ground unit is killed during the battle, platform goes down as well, this way it won't be a cheap "meatshield"

I like the idea a lot, however...

This makes mechanics like Torpedos, & Depth Charges redundant. The Breach DoT would also now be irrelevant. Since it is on platform, and platform cannot lose HP, the vehicle is effectively just a better unit. It has 3 less weaknesses than standard Naval fare.

In addition, you'd be more encouraged to just focus on one aspect of your army (Land) and never advance any in Naval. Naval of course right now is a mess. But for some reason as much as I like the idea. I don't think it's a grand idea to make Naval X Land units content. You'd also have no depth charges (so any submarines are just going to murder you.)

I think the simple, and unfortunate solution is just to expand upon Naval & Air more. Air is the only cross-over, but most of it was handed out only during promotions & events (boss strikes) Perhaps another idea could be an "offshore barrage" connected to some kind of unit?

(Example: If the player has Mega Tanks, they can radio them in to shoot at the Ship from afar)
