#Pelican Bomb Attack Not Animating or Dealing Damage

What Went Wrong?
The bomb attack on the SC-2 Pelican does not deal damage sometimes. There have been a times where I click the attack and it skips to the enemy’s turn, and others where the attack animation happens, but then it just skips to the enemy turn. I am not sure if this is the attack not actually attacking, or the damage would have gone to a square outside of any targets and the animation showing that attack just doesn’t happen. The rate of this happening is around 50% of the time I attack.

Steps to Recreate the Issue
I have tried to intentionally recreate the issue but I can’t at the moment. I do notice it happens most on land battles.

This bug that has been around for a few months now. It affects any attack that has a random chance to hit tiles. In the event that all the random hits somehow land outside the battlemap completely, it just entirely skips the attack animation but consumes the ammo of the attack and then goes to the opposing player’s turn.

in-game doesn’t show you how likely each tile is to be hit so you might have to refer to the wiki a lot of times. For example this is for the SC-2 pelican as you mentioned. It has a 75% chance to hit the intended tile and 6% chance for each of the adjacent tiles (adding up to 100% more or less). That attack doesn’t deal any splash damage, just a random chance to damage 1 tile.

So in your case, you aimed the reticle near the edge of the map, but there was a 6-12% chance of the attack to land outside the battlemap, leading to the skipped animation
