When I started the Scanvengers mission, I couldn't start the fight when I pressed the green "Fight" button. So far I haven't had the issue with other fights.

I've had the same issue recently, here is my battle layout. I had to take out the pillbox to be able to click the start battle button (it was in the front left position beforehand). I assume therefore it might be the pillbox (or defences as a whole) causing issues?

We did recently patch an issue revolving around defense counts, does this still happen now?

Yeah this happened a couple of minutes ago, I was going to make a bug report but stopped to check if someone had already done it and saw this one.
I did try to remove other units and that didn't seem to work so I'm fairly sure I can point the finger at the pillbox being the issue

Ah ok, appreciate the confirmation! Could you also provide a screenshot of your base with the encounter. Curious if it’s something to do with the location of the pillbox

I did forget to say, I am using steam version, so I don't think it's an android exculsive problem

Was the encounter on the cabbage that’s growing now or the other farm above it?

On the cabbage that was growing I believe, though I think the area touched both, I am not 100% sure
Top is leafy greens, bottom is cabbage, for if some reason that has an effect
